As graduation is near, all the things pour in!

Recently I'm staying at home, revising my thesis, while looking for employments, so I'm in an unstable situation. As time passing by, I'm faced with more and more opportunities, which makes me feel like perturbed, and cannot focus on my thesis, or learning about the examination subjects, or any one thing:(
But the good thing is, I'll be employed in only a few months, no matter how hard and how many the things I'm going to experience will be.
Can I handle the forthcoming opportunities versus the tasks I'm having? Can I survive the competitions? It's a question! Oh what a situation!*-*

Hi,
I also went through that phase during my college graduating days. So many things to do with so little time it seems we do not sleep to accomplish them. You cannot imagine how harder it was during the days of index cards and typewriters. We write our topics and outlines on cards by hand, we compute our standard deviations and averages with nothing more than a standard calculator and entering the tabulations by hand finally writing the draft on the typewriter with no chance of making a single mistake or we have to rewrite the whole page from the start. These days of copy-paste and auto format in Word and automatic tabular computation in Excel on a laptop coupled to an inkjet continuous-ink printer, things are more simplified and time is a luxury every student can have anytime, anywhere.

Yeah actually it is easier to write and compute things with the laptop and internet. Thank you for sharing your experience with me, you did work very hard those days~

you are under a lot of pressure but you seem like a really strong and smart woman. i think that you will find a way of handling all of this regardless of how hard it may seem. have faith in yourself. As an outsider, you seem like a very competent person. i think you will do just fine. Worrying about it will only bring you down. just my thoughts.

I feel that you are getting yourself all worked up and that is not healthy, you have so much going on in your head, that is it any wonder you cannot concentrate? Often our mind fills up with different fears. It's not until we face the fears that we find we can actually overcome them. You have to have faith in yourself, you have come this far, you will be employed which is a good thing! You also need to find time to relax, rather than getting yourself worked up, and stressed! I am sure you will be just great!

Oh I'm not worked up actually, and I'm just thinking too much and stressed. I believe things will be just fine, too, but I really have to get things done one by one and stop thinking that much.

Though I wasn't lucky enough to get to graduate from college the first time around, I do know what you are talking about. This time in your life is a very pivotal point in your life and it is only natural that you are going to have a lot of apprehension as you are facing those changes in your life.
As you work your way through your thesis revisions and looking for work after your graduation, it is most important that you just always remember to take a little bit of time for yourself.

You sound like a very educated person. Also like a very strong person who can make it through whatever you might have going on in your life. I am sure that you will make the right decisions and choices that come with all the opportunities that you have been offered. I hope that you can take a moment to stop and take a deep breath and try to relax and maybe figure it all out. I know things are easier said than done though.

Been there done that. You certainly sound like you have a plan laid out already. Don't hesitate to execute them if you think it's for the best. Setting your priorities straight is the best thing that could ever happen to you. Can you survive the competition?--Certainly!

Oh, I feel the same. I'm gonna graduate this summer. At least i've already written my thesis last semester. But I have to revise all the other topics and hand my thesis in, and write letters to the places where I applied for an MA, visit the school registrar's for a dozen times... gah. It's so busy.

Just take everything that comes in your way positively and do your best. You are almost done and is about to start a new chapter in your life. It sounds exciting! Time flies so fast when you are so busy doing a lot of things, especially when you have a deadline to beat. But it will be better once you have finished it all.
