I'm talking about Dancing with the Stars. This is the first time I've watched it. I was bored with the programs on tv yesterday so I checked out the tv on demand and decided to see what it's about. It was a little boring for me but I like a couple of people who are on it. Lisa Vanderpump from RHBH...I don't think she really knows how to dance and looked very awkward to me. Sean from the Bachelor needs a lot more lessons. I always loved Andy D (they won't let me use his name because it's a violation of mylot terms) and watched Dr. Drew's Rehab when he was on it. I feel bad for him because I think the judges were a little mean to him and I think he did a pretty good job considering it's his first time dancing. Wynona needs to lose a lot of weight and then I think she would dance better. Are you watching Dancing with the Stars? Do you have favorites?

I've been watching that show from the very first season and I enjoy it. There are a few things I dislike tho. I really don't like seeing the professionals dance all the time. I mean, we know they can dance so is it really necessary to showcase them all the time? Stretching a one hour show into a two hour show. The other thing is I feel the judges are really harsh on the contestants on the first few shows. Other than that I like most of the celebrities that are on there, the musical guests are great and the judges are hilarious. I love seeing how the celebrities progress. Some of them really turn out to be good dancers.

I think judges on shows like this have to be hard on the contestants for the impact it has on the fans. We think someone did great but the judges always have at least one bad thing to say about them.

I use to watch a few seasons back but stopped because I was sick of watching them dance to music that just doesn't go with certain dance steps. They have been doing this from the start and its just so aggravating to watch to me. If they were in a real competition and they were doing the tango the music would be for a tango. I don't understand why they continue to do this. Another reason I stopped is because the show is named "Dancing with the Stars" and then they get these people who are not what you would ever call a "Star" such as the guy from Jersey Shore, and Kate who has the 8 kids and her husband left her. She is not a star.

I agree with you as far as the music and type of dancing. It just doesn't work for me. I do a whole different version of the Cha Cha. I don't know why they do it that way but I will not be watching it anyway.

I watched the last part and I thought, "how could they go out there like that?:" referring to the costumes or lack of thereof the ladies had on. I do not know how good they were because did not see the whole part only the last demos. I did think that some of them could have improved, as they were so boring. No favorites.

You are so right about some of the costumes! There was one yellow dress that looked like the whole left side was bare and came together at the very bottom. A little too much skin for my taste.

I don't really remember the first season, but I've been watching since. My favorite season was when Donny Osmond won. I was voting for him all the way. This season I'm not really into any of the celebs, especially with Cathy Rigby out. I also miss Max. To comment on a few previous comments... If you don't like the costumes now you won't like them later. As the competition progresses there tends to be more skin shown. After all they are costumes. Dance is a dramatic performance. Besides the audience loves it. They say competing on this show is the best workout so if Wynona can stay in long enough she will surely shrink before our eyes. The pros dance while the others are changing costumes. It's a live show. They also show us what the dances should look like and they have their own followings. We've always had issues with the harshness of the judges, especially Len, but it's part of the process. They have to balance out the voting that can often be based on popularity instead of skill. They do try to tell the celebs just what they need to do to improve. Each one has their sticking points. Carryann (spelling?) will catch every illegal lift, Len doesn't like the fiddly bits and Bruno loves hip action. Even they had a hard time when Master P was on. He didn't practice or put any effort into it and stayed in about three weeks, just stomping through his routines, because he got fan votes. Even his fans had to give up he was so bad. Poor Cheryl, having to put up with that and trying to teach someone who obviously didn't want to be there.

I watch TV series. I particularly like suspense but these days I am developing a fondness for musicals. Series on medical and law stuff are also appealing to me.

I never really could get into the series when it came on. Perhaps it is just me but I just couldnt get into it. To me it seems like a popularity contest. When I did watch it I thought they all did a good job. I guess I am glad Im not a judge for something like that. Hope everyone enjoys the show for those that do watch it.

I really never watched it either. I was just bored and looking for shows to watch on demand so I had to check it out. I doubt I will watch it again!
