Tomorrow Sunday we celebrate domingo palma or Palm Sunday here in Mexico.
Im going to have my 2 nd yard sale.
I did really well, last Sunday.
I made 86.00.
Was really happy with that. This week, my son and I went through closets and
found more stuff.
I think I have more than last week.
And since its a special day at all the churches here, many will be walking infront of my home.
So wish me luck...

I am glad that you could think of such a way to make money. I do wish you have a great sales and make even more money. I also sold one of the old car recently. Even though its value is not high but it does help in our expenses.

Oh! Great to know you being such a good mother earning to support yourself and family. You are a very good mother and responsible. I can perceive that you are very hard working too! Why do you say it is a poor country? Nice chat with you...haha

Bunches of luck is sent to you. That is neat that so many people go by your place so hopefully business will be real good. I sold a few little things here yesterday. I feel that every little bit helps. I am still waiting on my son to go through his stuff. I guess he thinks we have tons of time left when we don't.

Hola Maria,
Yes! We celebrate Palm Sunday here too. (Canada)
I am very happy that you will get the extra "church traffic pedestrians".
That should help you make even more because you and Miguel found so much more stuff to sell. It also helps keep our homes less cluttered LOL (We have TV episodes of "Hoarders" and "Buried Alive" on A&E Station, all about people who can't even walk through their own homes) It's gross and sad at the same time. lol
$86 is great! I wish you 100 times that!
We have 1 yard sale a year in front of my home. I live on a corner lot of a very busy intersection. So friends and I get together and make a multi-family yard sale. People just love those here. I make hand-crafted costume jewelry throughout the year and sell those almost at retail price. I also buy jewelry from Bidz.com and resell at approx. 3 times the cost per item.
I know $86 is alot in Mexico, but here, my once-a-year multi-family yardsale, I earn well over $3000 for the last 3 years. I do this for the fun of having a great gathering of friends and making new friends.
So you have alot of potential, especially if you open your café on the Sunday too.
I hope you make more than $3000, I know you would benefit greatly from it and knowing the kind person that you are, you would probably adopt another family? I am happy you helped change the lives for the better for the Perez family. God is looking over you and protecting you. God Bless my friend. {{{{{Maria}}}}}

Sounds like a good plan. And judging by the many Catholics (like I am) that makes it a must to attend Palm Sunday mass, I am sure that lots of people will be very interested to see what you got in your sale. I hope you make a good profit out of it. Good luck!

Wow! Good luck! I see that last time you've made a really good profit :). I wish in my country would be things like these, you can get rid of things which you don't want/need anymore and make a profit too.. it sounds so good, unfortunatelly in my country, people's pride it's too high to do a yard sale or to buy things from a yard sale .

hi there maria.
it is also palm sunday today here in manila. for sure people will be flocking the churches.
anyway, back to the topic on hand, i do hope you do better this time in your yard sale. you earned $86 last time out so perhaps now, you would want to earn at least $100, yes?
again, good luck and do keep us updated.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

i think with new items for sale, you will surely earn more than $86 this time out. plus with plam sunday and the more people flocking the church, you'd possibly have more customers this week than last week. so potentially, you can earn more than what you earned last week.
good luck again maria and keep us updated.
we're all pulling for you and your yard sale.
cheers!!!

Used to be a 4-H leader and after church is the when our bake sales did the most business. We raked in over $400.00 camping our next to a church after their morning coffee hour.
