Before I was a mother, I was the kind of person that did keep a daily diary, however, that is something that I've not done since after my daughter was born. The reason that I don't keep a diary any more is because of the fact that I really don't have the time to devote to it.
However, I do keep a calendar on my desktop that I custom design each and every month. On that calendar I will notate all appointments that I have and also any birthdays that might fall in the course of that month.

We have a calendar on the wall which is big enough for everyone to write their appointments. My mother always did it, so the habit was just handed down. We get a lot of free calendars, so it isn't really any bother. It's a habit for all of us now jsut to immediately write things down as they come up.
As for a diary, I don't have one. I did when I was a kid. Just don't want to take the time to do it anymore.

No I don't get these things for free. In fact I went crazy trying to find a calendar this year. The stores here in Puerto Rico didn't have any. They kept saying they were coming in but this was the end of January. I ended up getting one from my husband cousin who had two of them. As for a diary I have a book that I write in each day. I write what I'm grateful or thankful for.

Honey
I used to write daily diary since 1959, while in class 9th till almost 2006, next you know i had health issues, the fingers shake and made my hand writing bad, let me tell you, i have preserved all those, it might help me if i write my autobiography some day.
I am happy to know about the card type calendar, keep it in your wallet always.

I have a filofax and that is the only thing that I keep, aside from my devotional journal (which needs to be updated now). I write everything on it: to-do list, grocery list, my expenses, savings, important appointments, birthdays, contacts, and schedules. I have electronic gadgets that can do the same (iPad, iPod and iPhone) but I prefer to use pen and paper in jotting down notes and important stuff like that.

I don't really get free calendars or diaries. I usually ask for a small agenda for Christmas from my family (among other things :D), and that's all I have. I have dozens of journals at home, too, and if I need one, I just go out to purchase one. It's okay, as i'm really particular about what design I want :P.
