I catch the train, to and from work - It is fantastic.
I used to drive sometimes, but mostly I would cycle to work.
That all changed when I came off it... I haven't ridden a bike since, neither have I driven.
Feels safer to catch the train.
Anyway I digress.
I have discovered that the train is an amazing thing- Obviously as a form of quick, easy and cheap travel. There is also the fellow passengers...
Some get on before you -
Some get on after you -
Everybody going to a different place...
There are passengers that you see everyday and there are passengers you will never see again.
All these people getting on and off the train.
Many will be reading the ebooks, some will be listening to music and others will be online...
...And then there are the chatters, people travelling with friends or family.
I travel alone, usually listening to music. Now and again though I like to take out my earphones and eavesdrop on the chatter.
Let me share some bizarre snippets of what I have overhead
...Nah, I always have a dump at work - Good Wifi - I have no idea either
...I had a good 6 inches last night - Following an overnight snowfall...I think
...She is pretty for a lesbian
...Nato is a country, isn't it?
I love the train

we have what's called jeepneys where two rows of passengers sit facing each other. one time the two women in front of me were talking and i realized they were talking about a relative of mine. she and they were all active in church activities while i'm not so i don't know them at all and can't bring myself to make a scene inside a moving vehicle full of passengers. i just squirmed and looked out the window.

My husband is amazed at my ability to tune in to everyone's discussions in public places. I also have family members who will tell you everything you never wanted to know, whether you are acquainted with them or not. For a distance commute a train sounds pretty good.

Most public places are entertaining. I love to listen. Thats what I do best actually. And you will be surprised what kind of conversations people have. Sometimes I am amazed and sometimes I am entertained. But most of the time it is boring stuff. I tend to stay to myself and never talk to people. Mainly because I have no desire to talk to anyone. It would be nice to see an entire lifetime of this stuff in time lapse. That would be cool.
