In my wedding day, a lot of people helped for the preparation. I only dreamed of a very simple wedding. I never even plan of buying a cake. I never thought that would be necessary. I thought, it's just a simple decoration, with no meaning at all. Since, me and my partner are not that wealthy, we decided not to buy one. And thought that the food that we prepare is more than enough for the visitors. During the reception, I never expected to see a cake. I felt like crying when the emcee asked the bride and groom to move forward and perform the traditional cake cutting. I held the knife and my husband placed his hand over mine. We feed each other a piece of cake. Then, I realized, that the act symbolizes conquering tasks with my husband and providing for one another throughout the marriage. Thanks for the emcee, for providing us the cake.

Hi friend, good to hear about your marriage day celebration. As you mentioned one of your friend offered cake as a surprise gift and both of you cut it and feed it to each other. Really this kind of unexpected surprises will give more happiness to us and we can feel this kind of happiness only with our own experience, your topic clearly shows about your gratitude and enjoyment on your wedding day

Wow, that was very nice of the emcee to do. I also learned the same thing with the wedding that my boyfriend and I attended. The emcee talked about the symbol of the groom and bride partaking with the cake. She mentioned something about responsibility but I wasn't been able to figure it out that time.

Oh, that must have been a really moving moment for you! Unexpected favors can evoke the biggest emotions from us. I'm so glad you could celebrate with a cake. We are planning to have a cake, but something really simple, with just a bit of decoration... nothing too fancy (not even filling-wise... we're going to stay with the basic vanilla cream, chocolate or fruit cream variations, maybe black forest...).
