Feed your dog lightly, many dogs become sick when traveling. Stop often, any time the dog become restless to let him poop or pee, maybe even to have just a short walk. Set your car up to be dog accident proof, I use a trap that can be washed
at almost any rest stop. Remember the more pleasent the trip is for your dog will be something he remembers for the rest of his life. Be upbeat and enthusatic anytime you load him in the car, make sure he is never to hot or to cold, remember dogs cannot regulate their body temps and well as people and give water often, but not to much at a time. Blessing and take lots of pictures.

What way will you travel? By train, by bus, by plane, by car? Or you are simply going on a hike?
If you are going to travel for a long distance by car, I suggest you to put the dog inside his crate, where he feels comfortable. Stop often and take him out to sniff around and to do his duties. You can take his favorite blanket or toy with you, so he won't feel stressed. Make sure he has a positive experience, or else he will hate to go on a trip.
I don't know how is the weather over there, but if it's too hot, make sure you don't let the dog locked inside the car in a sunny place. Give him enough water during the trip, so he won't dehydrate.
If you tell us more details, maybe we can be more helpful.

Roadtrip. I already packed his things - his crate will there, with his water 'dispenser' He has his food for over a week, lest we overstay. He already has his toys packed and I'm gonna buy diapers and calming pills (vet introduce me to them) tomorrow. Actually, he';s the first one to have his things packed before ours. I'm checking if there is still an area I didn't cover.

So you're going for a long car ride.
Medication. This is the area you didn't cover. When you leave, don't you take any preventive medication for you in your bag? We do, and we learned to take useful meds for our dog, too.
Ask your vet about some nausea pills. Some dogs feel bad during car rides.
From our experience, some anti-diarrhea pills are a must. Ask your vet to prescribe some for your dog, even if you won't need them. But it's better to be cautious.
