My parents 64th marriage anniversary

Hi, Today is my parents anniversary. They have spend 64 years of their life together happily. There were many ups and downs in their life. They have faced it together by supporting each other. I wished them on phone because I am not with them. Tomorrow I am going to meet them. Today I can't go to meet them for some unavoidable reason. I will stay with them for two days. They will come to my house next month. They are very old. My father is 92 years old and my mother is 83 years old.

hi, roshigo58. please extend my congratulations to them. may they have more to come. and please, i beg of you, ask them what their secret is and to give us some tips on how to live a longer, happy, and fulfilling life. very few are able to reach this stage in life. i also noticed that the love and tenderness that you feel for your parents between the lines of your post. have a great time with them.

Wow, that's amazing 64th anniversary and now they are 92 and 83 years old . And can they still travel, because you said they will come to your house next month. Are they still sharp in body and mind? Can you ask them for me , what's their secret of being married for 64 years?

Hi, they can still travel but now they are very weak and they should not travel. They are very caring and loving with each other. There are some differences between them but they have good understanding between them. I think it is the secret of their long married life.

That is some inspiring parents you have there. Nowadays, even reaching a 2 digit anniversary is kinda hard, I think this is due to some degraded value of modern men when it comes to love, also, divorce and annulment had become so accessible for many people. Anyhow, please do extend my congratulations to your parents.

hi, Thank you for the complements. In India the proportion of divorce is less than western countries. But now it is increasing. So as you said it is very difficult to reach up to two digital age of marriage. They are lucky.

That's awesome! Congratulations to your parents. You are so lucky they are still around. I lost my Mom when she was 85 years old and it was the toughest time I've ever been through. We were very close. Cherish your parents while they are still on this earth. We only get one set of parents.

Hi, I don't have any brother. My wife is suffering from muscular dystrophy so she can not walk. They don't want to give trouble to us. We are shifted to new house in Pune. My wife could walk with the help of walker in previous house but now she has some problem. She always says that my parents would come to our house and can stay with us. We have servants for all the work in the house. So there is no problem. My parents and my wife has very loving relations. They are very much worried about each other. My parents will come next month to my house. But they like to stay independently. I have two elder sisters. they go to their house for some months. When they are staying in their house in Mumbai I used to visit them every week end if I could not go then my son go to help them. My sisters and I take care of them and they are spending their life happily.

I am very happy to hear your parents are now at their 64 anniversary! Despite of ups and downs in life, they are still as loving and happy living together. This is not easy and very wonderful. You must be really glad and long to expect them coming to your house next month. Your parents must have been taking good care of their health. Wow that is wonderful, you don't hear that much nowadays couples staying together for that length of time! My mum and dad celebrated their 43rd Anniversary on March 21st. I am surprised they stayed together so long. They had a chinese meal to celebrate. My mum is 70 this month and my father is 68. So they could easily reach the big 50! Wow 64 anniversaries.
