I'm sure a lot of people would say 'from the Bible,' but they usually don't explain it beyond 'go read `yer Bible!' I DO read my Bible, and it says to 'love thy neighbor as thyself' (to 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'). And where do you learn 'how you would have them do unto you'? Experience. Dr. Czikszentmihalyi called it (as he named his book about it) FLOW. As you live, you experience others' behavior as FLOWing more- or less-smoothly; &--if you're smart--you pattern your own behavior after the more-smoothly FLOWing behaviors you see.

I got my morality from two main places from my parents, who raised me to know the difference between right and wrong. My mum and dad raised me to be courteous and polite as well as not to dishonest and to help others whenever I can. I also get morality from religion and the Bible for example teachings such as "Do to others as you would like others to do unto you" that's what I try to live my life by. I'm not perfect and I don't always do the right thing but I try to be the best person I can possibly be.
