What Becomes Of The Soldier?

What becomes of the soldier that fought in a questionable war? A soldier does his or her duties and makes tremendous sacrifices honorably and courageously while faithfully obeying the orders of the Commander in Chief. Does he or she ask, "What if"? What if a war was unnecessary? What if I would have known better? What if things could have been different? What if? What if? What if? When everything is said and done, some questions still remain. Do you dare question authority? Is it something that should be done if it means severe consequences?Well, which consequences are more severe? The ones you can live with or the ones you can't.

My bro-n-law came home not the same. He had to kill a young child over there. He was injured by i.e.d. He got out of army but still had pain from being injured, had to go to doctor a lot. Went on pain meds and overdosed. We think it overdose because his witch wife refused autopsy. He is missed.

Hello maxfashioned,
I appreciate your response today. Please understand that this is not just another discussion for me for I am a veteran as well. I am sorry for your loss, and I know you fought for your brother. I can tell this is very personal for you. Thank you again for discussing. I hope you are dealing with things in the best way possible. To be honest, I believe the best support the troops can have are those offering true friendship and love. With all the sacrifices they make, they need to know that they can have someone to share their feelings and truly care for them.
