For a nation that claims everyone as being equal still allows certain minorities to be discriminated against.I can understand why some people may not want to call a homosexual relationship a marriage, for religious reasons believing people in a marriage being joined together by God.However the right wingers who tend to argue against gay rights are usually the ones that keep going on about the constitution and the constitution says civil and political rights shouldn't be denied by the state. The government is clearly in breach of this denying homosexuals the rights it allows heterosexuals.

Its sad really that people in live cant marry. How does one change the federal laws? That would be a place to start. Redefining marriage is another place to work on. I think in much of the US homosexuality is still considered deviant behavior. Everyone has to be politically correct on mylot, and they may say they support gay marriage, but if they don't vote for it nothing changes.
