OMG I was so tired, after the yard sale yesterday/
It was a very long day.
After getting up at about 345am, to set it up.
We closed at 6pm here.
I then made my son and brother a big dinner, as they helped me so much.
The best thing was... I made 112.00 on the sale.
I also sold 32 coffees, and some baked goods.
So overall ... I think I made about $122.00 profit.
And I got rid of alot of things at the sale.
Was a great day for me..
Im very happy. Ill wait about a month to have naother one here.

I am glad for you that all the hard work are really worthwhile as you did well with your sales. I guess you needed a good rest now and take care of your health too. It is great that you have your brother and son to help you in this yard sale. It is not easy if it is without them as setting up the things for sale is already tough. Well, glad for you to have make it a success! [em]cheering[/.em]

hi maria.
can't say you didn't earn that $122. this is the reward that you get for all teh hard work that you, your son, and your brother put into.
it was nice of you to prepare a big dinner for your son and brother. i'm sure they appreciated it.
waiting for a month to put up another yard sale is good since it gives you time to look into the other items that you can put up for sale plus it makes your customers 'miss' the yard sale even more.
again grats on the success of your yard sale maria!!!

I have never heard of making that much money at a yard sale before. That's a good turn out! Good job. My parent's had a lot of yard sales when I was growing up. They were trying to pay off my brother's hospital bills from when he was born. But, I don't think they did that good. I've never had a yard sale of my own because I've never lived anywhere that would have that good of a turn out or that good of space to lay out the items. I love going to yard sales though. There is one down the street from here but we won't go because it's out every day of the week rain or snow and once we saw a china hutch which I want one so badly and my boyfriend was going to get it for me but they were asking $100.00 for it. We then realized that it's not a yard sale they are having, but a store in their yard. There is a difference. People around here are way too lazy. Hahaha.

I am so happy for you but know how drained you must be. It is a good feeling to get rid of stuff and make the extra money. Golly, I can imagine how big the next sale will be if you are going to wait a month. That is about the time I will probably have my first one.

Well anytime you have a sale like this, it does make you quite tired either later that day or the say after, etc. I know back when I used to permanently be set up somewhere even then I got tired especially if I was having to move stuff around. But since like you said, you were able to sell some stuff and make some much needed extra money it made for a good day.

Hi, I presume this must be yard sales. Congratulations for making an extra $ 122.00 profit. You can do that more often to make extra money. Who don't more money. Everyone wants extra money to enjoy. You may go to your storeroom to check out all unwanted but good things to sell. In this way you not only get rid of those unwanted good things but also clean your storeroom and make money at the same time. Cheers.

Hi Maria! It is good to hear that you have done it and you have made some profit as well as gotten rid of junk which I am sure other people can still use. I did a yard sale too and since we're still left with a lot lot more, I now hold one every Sunday. I still get some sales even if I do it only on a Sunday morning. We start at 9 am and end at 12. I still have a lot of clothes to get rid of.

That is excellent news my friend, do you have anything more to sell? That getting up in the middle of night must have been real knackering for you, considering you put all those hours in your cafe. To me that's the middle of the night! Nice profit, I am glad you are happy, you deserve to be, now I hope you find time to relax and finally put your feet up, you are always busy busy!

Hi Maria Way to go girl, I am so glad for you I have had a few yard sales and they are a lot of work! It sure is worth it when you make some money like you did. We have neighbours that have a least 4 to 5 yard sales through out the summer. They are a retired couple and they go to Auctions and buy there in the winter and then sell at their yard sales in the summer they always have tons of people who go. Have fun counting your money today aha.
