In the absence of work, we have to get used to the little that is offered to us. My case this afternoon I had to go through all my cities to work on the problematic computer of a person who, among other things I do not know fully. At the moment that I am writing this message, I am on the bus that is taking me to my destination. The distance to be covered is about 20 km. However, the work that I will have to be done at home with this new customer, should be very simple. In fact it is just having to connect a printer to her laptop. At the end if the work will be done properly I will be paid as usual in my rate which is equal to 15 euro for hour. I hope for all ok. In all the ways I say: that stress!

So you traveled across the whole city to see a customer to connect her printer to her laptop. You seem to have found it stressful to travel all that far. I hope that you got 15 euros for that job. In the absence of work you have to get some customers however far away they live. I took my laptop to a shop to be repaired. I also have a computer specialist man that can come out.

Well, my work is successful, so I could pocket the € 15, mostly a pleasure once again, having made it!

If you'd have many clients everyday with simple problems like your new customer... I think your work will be like a pleasure... I mean, lots of people are doing harder work for a few euros and you make them easier, I think :). Don't think at the 20km ast a stress thing, think at it as a pleasure driving, listen to your favorite music, think about nice things... Don't mind the traffic! ^^ Good luck and Ihope you'll have more clients soon! ^^

Hi,
Traveling 20 km to work can be a lot of stress if done daily. However you only spend an hour or two on your workplace so why not spend the extra time going around the city to relax? I do that every time I can go around which is not that often now that I have a regular office job nearby my house. To travel for work is a hassle but throwing in the time to roam about seeing the beautiful places can make it more relaxing and rewarding.

Yes, indeed, move about the city sometimes helps to relax and distract you. In fact I agree.

Hello, you're really fortunate that you have fun but a bit stressful job. I personally love do some basic to mid-level pc/laptop troubleshooting. However, I don't get paid since my customers are usually relatives :). On the other hand, if ever I do try asking to get paid by my customers, I won't still be earning an amount near 15 euros, since if I am not mistaken, here in my country some certified or part-time computer technician don't get paid hourly but rather per transaction (like pc-reformatting, virus removal, installing certain programs etc.). 15 euros is really big here in my country. Anyway, have a nice day.

Well, I do not have any relatives (except my aunt, from which I do not make sure pay) that have computers.
But mine is not a real job. There are months that I can do a lot of consultancy (this however rarely), while other months are "dry".
