yahoo mail is so slow

i don't think that Yahoo mail is slow or i should say slower than any other mail. one possible reason for you to be facing such problem is that maybe the mails that you were trying to access were full of pictures (or some other stuff) which makes the size of the mail bigger and hence more time to load. i have been using both the gmail and yahoo for quite some years and i have not felt any kind of difference in speeds in them. But this is my perception but i might be wrong and what u perceive might be right. The best way to check this is that u forward this mail to your account on gmail and try opening it there and check if there is the mail loads faster there

Just read today that they will be having some system maintenance. I cannot access my yahoo mail right now. I am only on their main page without the sign in button on it so I guess they are still undergoing this maintenance. I hope I can access it later today.

I think it had something to do with internet connection. To check it, log in to your other email provider just to make sure the slowness was due to the internet connection. I also have problems with my yahoo used for mylot communications. So far, I haven't got emails from mylot regarding my friends' postings. I usually respond their posting through the email link. It's easier and faster. Now, I have to rely on today's top to read the posting to respond.

I have the same problem with you... Last time I opened my yahoo mail account, it was full of spam messages. It's like half of my inbox are spams, around thousand spams in my inbox lol.. I wonder what cause this, Yahoo should work more harder to reduce spammers on their system. Now I use gmail and rarely open my yahoo since it running too slow now..

It is Definitely ur Internet Connection Problem.. May be It is slow.. I too using the same sometimes i too face the same problem.. Your internet speed get slow if ur PC Infected with Virus.. Use any Antivirus it will help u..

hi there summer! i think you are just experiencing it when there are too many people who would be in the site accessing their emails. I'd say maybe it is also that of the internet providers, I know you are in the Philippines and perhaps many are using the internet since its holidays. =)

Hi hotsummer, my yahoo mail is really slow between times too. This happened again three days back in the evening. It's so annoying and unbearable to take quite some time to wait for the slow loading. I don't know the reason why it's so slow. Whenever I come across such situation I prefer to close the page. Yeah, may be it's having upgrading or facing system glitch. It usually would be restored as usual after I'm back again. Fortunate that such undesirable situation doesn't happen often here Happy posting

I think a faster method to access your yahoo emails is by typing this to your address: m.yahoo.com/mail What do you think did it work?

Thanks for this discussion, last night it was so slow here, but it opened, my friend from Philippines told me via gtalk that YM was not opening at all, when such things happen, we use gtalk usually, do you use gtalk?

It seems ok for me. I have been using it all day from laptop too. Maybe it's your computer or your network? Have you tried other email sites? Do they work faster?

Yes, Maybe the Email system is maintanance at this time. Just try it again. And another reason, Maybe you mail box is too larged, or have a larged email, or you received a email with the virus. good luck.
