Hi mylotters! It's been awhile since I have visited mylot and I feel bad for visiting because right now I need your advice. I am trying to lose weight because i'm simply tired of being chubby. However I don't have time for exercise. The only time I get to exercise is like twice a month when I go on leave. So definitely I will need to reduce my food intake. I have this seriously outrageous appetite for rice that sometimes it makes me wonder how I even stayed having this shape. I can eat up to 5 plates of rice. I have dramatically changed my eating habits such that I don't eat rice during breakfast and dinner. Before I sleep though when i come home from work I tend to still eat rice. I want to totally take it off my system but I don't want the hassle of having to prepare meals as I really have a hectic sched. I am thinking of replacing it with milk. Do you think that would be fine for my tummy? I mean I have hyperacidity so I can't definitely skip meals. Maybe it's good if I just drink milk instead of drinking solid food? What do you think?

Hahaha. I just remembered myself before because you mentioned the phrase "Just eat for your hunger and not eat to be full". That's what I really was before. I would never stop until I felt satisfied and it takes me how many plates. Oh any way. I still have a lot to go especially when it comes to eating rice. Unlike other food, I crave for rice so it's hard to cut it off my diet. I'm still working on it though. I wanna totally get rid of it on my daily meal and eat other food instead. Anyways, I do appreciate your time. Thank you so much.

I would not support reducing the food volume you are eating. You need to stick with the normal volume of food that people take in order to stay healthy. Bear in mind that eating less does not means less weight. Because eating less will just avoid you from gaining more weight. It does not in anyway reduce your weight, unless you are taking really little or not eating at all. And yes, you need to reduce rice intake as they can make you gain weight and also causes diabetes if taken too much.
The best and healthiest way to lose your weight is of course doing exercises. It is impossible for one to only have the time to exercise twice in a month. Because there are always time available daily, just that we tend to do other things. Otherwise, you can go for some slimming product out there in the market, they will be able to help you somehow.
Remember, never reduce your meal volume to very little and never try to replace your meal with milk. If you do so, your digestive system will gradually get used to it and reduces the amount of digestive acid it generates. So you will gain a lot of weight next time when you decide to eat normal again.

Thanks a lot for your response. I'll find time to exercise then. Yeah. It seems like milk won't be a good substitute for all the solid food an adult like me would take. Really, my greatest obstacle would be finding the time for exercise. Oh well... I guess I have to squeeze it in or better get rid of some activities and chores on my planner.

i don't think milk can be a good way to reduce your weight.. if you really wanna lose weight you should lessen your carbohydrates intake such as rice.. then eat lots of fruits and vegetables.. and do some routine exercise.. there are lots of ways to lose weight buy one should have big determination and self disciplined to achieve this..

Yeah. I think veggies, fruits, proteins and exercise would help me a lot, I just hope I had the time to think about what meal to eat and squeeze exercise into my schedule. I am trying as hard as ever but I don't want to feel like I am depriving myself. Hais.. I hope I can by self-discipline in some market. LOL. I'm currently lessening my rice intake and I plan to totally get rid of it.
