Substitution for Egg Whites

My family and I are in the mood for something sweet for desert tonight. I have a Cake Mix, there is only one slight problem, the recipe calls for three egg whites. I don't have any eggs, neither do any of my neighbors. I have heard of using mayonnaise as a substitute for a whole egg.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank You tehpau, I may try the applesauce. If I remember correctly I read somewhere that a banana would work, however I can't seem to confirm that. Do you know if the applesauce would have to be un-sweetned or would sweetned work?
What was really stumping me on this was the fact that it calls for 3 egg whites, not 3 whole eggs.
Again thank you, I may try this tomorrow after I locate some applesauce. Way too late tonight to start this.

Hi Antionette19, you're welcome. You can use either sweetened or unsweetened applesauce in desserts. Applesauce usually does not contain a lot of sugar. If you are using sweetened ones, have a taste of the applesauce and make adjustments on the sugar you have to use for the recipe.

Thanx, I think I will. After all payday is just 2 days away, so we can wait.

Thank You, I have never had to substitute eggs before. So get this; Now nobody has applesauce. I expected everyone to be out of eggs right before Easter, but applesauce? Really...
