Where Is God When It Hurts?

Do you blame God during the lowest point of your life? Does God orchestrate every pain? Every problem? Every suffering? Most of us ask this question, everytime we feel life is so unfair. Do you believe God favors some? And think, He doesn't care that much?

I think it's almost easy to be upset with God when something which is important for us goes in a bad way. It's spontaneous, because we believe that in that moment God has abbandoned us. But is it true? I don't think so. You know, I've read a very touching text which was written by a jew, on a wall of a hidehout during the holocaust, this was the text: "I believe in the sun even if it isn't shining. I believe in love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when he is silent". This sentence made me think much.. Even when the sun it's hidden behind the clouds, we know it's still shining, even when we don't feel love we know it still exists and in the same way even when God seems to be silent, we have to keep trusting Him. We must not let our sufference or sadness guide our lives, because beyond the clouds there may be a sun ready to shine. Also, reading that sentence was a lesson of life for me, because how many time we blame God or we are upset for little problems when there are people suffering for real and in worst condition than us? And still a person who was being persecuted in the holocaust period was so strong to say that even if he was suffering, without love and at risk of life: He still kept his beliefs, he still believed in love, he still believed in God. This is what we should do :) I believe that when we are sad or going trough a hard situation we can pray God and he can help us. I would like to share with you a verse of the Bible: -Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 peter 5:6-7 NIV) When you feel like giving up, remember this verse of the Bible, pray God, and he can help you! Have a great day, Donato

That's a very good verse and a very good quote. We all need to come to Him. We only need to pray. Some prayers may not be answered, but I know God has a reason.

There is no point in blaming somebody for one's own incapacity. Our incapacity to solve our own problem has nothing to do with other people. Blame your own weakness to yourself. Never the trash to someone else.

Yes, you're right. Bad things happened because of our choice. We already know the consequences of every decision we make. We cannot blame others for our own choice.

The most logical answer is that god doesn't exist, since if he does exist and lets people hurt us then he's not really a god.

Hi, I believe in god. But sometimes I also get confused. When we are going through very difficult situation why God doesn't come to help us immediately. Why he takes so long time to bring out from our troubles. But I then I always think that everything happens for some reason.

yah, I agree with you. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we questioned Him because of the bad things that happened to us. But we never know that could be the beginning of something great.

Hey God cares more that much ! He allows us to get hurt and be in pain because he wants to see how strong is our faith to ourself and to Him . he doesn't want us to be sad but he wanted that we will learn lessons from our doings . He wanted us to call Him because He is always beside us just just waiting for our responses from His call. God is forever a fair God . He sets all the best for us , sometimes maybe too hard to understand but really he wanted all the best for us. So , best way is to honor the pain that we have.

You know a lot of people say that God is unfair and doesn't care, but he will tell you in the Bible that he does care. If you have a Bible turn to Psalms 72;12-14, It says this; "For he will deliver the poor one crying for help, Also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one, And the souls of the poor ones he will save. From oppression and from violence he will redeem their soul and their blood will be precious in his eyes" (Depending on what Bible you use, some may say it differently, but the message is the same) God or Jehovah does not cause suffering, mankind brings most on himself because we were born in sin. In the Bible God tells us how we can avoid much suffering,by reading and following his word, if we ignore his help is it fair to blame God? The devil (yes he's real) should take responsibility in mans suffering too. God is a God of love and only destroys wicked man like in the Flood of Noah and Sodom and Gamorrah, but he always gives us warning. We need to study the Bible and LEARN what Jehovah wants us to do. Most of us are blindsided by problems we can't understand the things happening. You can ask any one of Jehovah's Witnesses near you and they will be glad to help answer any question you have. You're a spritual person and need answers. There not too many people out there like you.

The problem is some people blame God for their misfortunes and ask why, but never ask God to bless the others for receiving abundance/overflowing good things. If we only know how to appreciate every little things from God- then there is no reason to ask or blame Him.

Well it happens many times that parents give equal attention to all their children but some get more success than others, its because of hard work of an individual or luck. Can we blame parents if one of their children is very successful and others are not.In the same way god treats everyone equally ,as we all are children of god but hard work and destiny makes someone successful and happy while someone will suffer.Life can be unfair but god is not. Many bad things happened with me too in the life so far,but that was due to my bad luck, not enough efforts , meeting wrong people and sometimes due to my carelessness,i feel that god always helped me.

Hi, He is right there with you. Only problem is that we only get to know our own pitiful self and don't perceive his presence. When we think only of ourselves being hurt, we think God has abandoned us. In reality, he is there all along waiting for your acknowledgement that for every pain you endure, he took part in it more than you have. People who don't acknowledge that reality is only making a foll of themselves being deluded in the belief that theirs is the only existence and no other. How pathetic.

That was a nice questions, me too sometimes asking that questions when I'm seeing some unfairness in my surroundings, or when I'm watching television. But as I look closer to any situations and of what is really happening, we can't blame God not even we have the right to blame Him for every sufferings we have here becoz everything that what happening to us are the fruits of our doings. Now if we are in the lowest point of our life, we can guarantee that He will always strengthen us and give us all important things that we need in order to surpass the trials if we will ask it directly to Him with humbleness and repentance. :)

I don't believe in god and I also don't believe god is favouring someone. I also don't believe that if there would be a god he has time to look after a billion of people and he would surely not be just the god of one group or one country/nation. I also find it very hard to believe he would granted the commercial wishes so many people have (it's not Santa Claus). To be honest I also think that if there would be a god he would hide and be very annoyed about all those people killing in his name plus not using their brains and being passive, complaining, praying, hoping.. instead of using brains, muscles, being active and fight for what they want.

I believe God exist. Some people don't because they are too small too small to comprehend.God has reason for not answering some prayers. No one can fathom what's in His mind. But I know His plans are perfect.
