Coffe has been proven to have antioxidants. But consuming more than a cup in a day may give you more harm than good. The presence of caffeine can be bad for your health as it may cause palpitations and trembling of your hands as well. So, try to take just a cup in day.

Coffee has health benefits. The caffeine it contains gives you the boost you've noticed; that's why coffee isn't recommended as a bedtime drink. It's good for the heart, speeds the pulse, lowers blood pressure and as we've said, boosts the brain. Taken to excess anything is harmful and coffee is no exception, but up to about 3 litres a day is ok. A cup is about 0.5 of a litre so you're fine.
