After a bitter divorce, an actor(Robin Williams) disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend secret time with his children held in custody by his Ex. (IMDB) It was more of a comedy and it was totally funny thanks to the performance of Mr. Williams- he totally puled it off. But it was also a heartfelt movie about family and love and divorce.. Definitely a must watch for the entire family..

I have watched this movie in the cinema many many years ago. I have also watch the rerun on the television at home. Yes, it is definitely a good family movie. It talks about love, family bonding and the challenges that lies ahead in family life. Robin Williams is truly a talented actor. He always carried the character well.

Yes, this is one of the films that made me love Robin Williams even more- since he can portray anything. and the movies he chooses to play in are usually good and have a good moral lesson.

I used to watch this movie every month when i was a kid.Its an excellent take on a serious problem of divorce and loving father devoid of his children.Robin Willams is a great actor , he was brilliant in Good Will Hunting too.I wonder why is he not active these days, may be he is retired.

This was a cute movie. Not something I need to see again too soon, I mean it didn't impress that much. But it was cute. And Williams was great as usual.

I can see where if there is a personal situation that touches closely with the storyline and it can touch someone deeply. It well done.

Yes, it was definitely cute- and his kids too- especially the youngest, since she also payed Matilda in "Matilda". i really loved this movie maybe it was because, i can see that this problem is still a huge one, and it even got worse these years... and i see some kids badly affected by it.. in our neighborhood.

Yes, it would be nice if all families would get to watch this movie at least once, so maybe it would inspire them not to easily give up on their family if ever they have problem.

I agree. This is a very good family film and the acting by Robin Williams as he was trying to play the part of the nanny without being discovered was very funny. I can't even count how many times we have seen this film. Probably one of my favorite parts was the "run by fruiting".lol.

Oh yes, "run by fruiting" was hilarious. My favorite part was the "seize the teeth"- carpe dentata- was it? And Pierce Brosnan even helped him with it. It is so amazing how prosthetics can make a person absolutely unrecognizable, just like in Hot Chicks.

Oops. Actually, that should be "drive" by fruiting. Not "run". Anyway, loved the movie and highly recommend it. :)

I saw this on TV a long time ago. Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire was hysterical movie. It was also so warm and heartfelt. You couldn't help but want him to get his family back. After all that he went through to be with his kids. If I remember correctly it was Sally Field who played the wife and I have always loved her since the Flying Nun. You just knew that when she realized all that he did to be near the kids that she would take him back.

Yes, i have not seen a lot of his movies, but this movie just made me a huge fan.. I could not stop laughing at the last-ish part where he was jumping from 1 table to another, and also when his teeth fell- "Seize the teeth".

I have watched this movie at HBO together with my husband and child a long time ago, in our bedroom. We all liked it so much. We had a fun time laughing and being teary eyed. It's a nice movie to watch for the family.

Yes, i just watched it alone though, but it was still fun.. Just a good old comedy with no green jokes and pure innocent fun. it is rare to find comedies like this these days, that is why this is such a gem. One of the best films of Williams too.

Yes I have watched this movie a few times and it makes you laugh and cry every time you watch it. Robin Williams has done a splendid job in the role of Mrs. Doubtfire and in the end, it does teach you that family and love is what matters over everything. I totally agree with you that every family should watch it together!

Yes, it is a great film for me since it does not only make us laugh, but it also teaches a god and lasting lesson, about family- which a lot of people can relate to. It would be a very nice world if all families were not broken though..

Yes, it is a movie that never grows old.. maybe because it is a comedy film and also a film for the family.. It may not have some twists in the plot, but it is definitely enjoyable to watch and still so touching.

Well, of course, he has been acting since the early 80s i think.. so it had been more than 30 years.. he is bound to look older.. I think he is even as old as my dad.. I am glad he is still having work though, they should not waste that talent.
