Housekeeping means place for everything and every thing at its place.
Housekeeping removes majority of workplace unsafe conditions and hence
accident and incident.
From this concept, we find that the problems faced by most people is the lack of organization and management for their work, whether at home or at work.Everyone must allocate a suitable place for everything they use in their lives.
For example, but not limited to allocation library for manuscripts and books, and create a special place for newspapers, and a place for shoes.
As an example, we find sometimes at work, you may be asked by the Director a special note on the subject of the work, and stay a long time to search for it but you can not find, because of this note is not saved in the proper place.
Housekeeping at home and at work, would maintain the system work, whether at home, or at work and away from the chaos that will wasting time.

Yes, you are right. Actually, workplace and housekeeping are the same place that need to manage everything inside them. If you always manage everything in your housekeeping carefully, you will do it in your workplace. So, the great man who get his success in his workplace, usually he also smart manage his business in his housekeeping. So, they never waste time to do not useful thing.

Good housekeeping indicates a well organized person, home or office. Good organizations insist on proper houskeeping routines. Good workers pride themeselves on their good housekeeping.

Yes, I agree with you. It is time consuming if we're just keep looking the things for how many hours, that is the reason why after I woke up to bed and before I start to go here on myLot, I would surely make my bed organize and I do it same with my desk. The problem is every time my 12 year old cousin woke up, she's the one would mess my room and it looks disorganize. Because of that, sometimes I am so lazy to make my room be organized again.

I like reading about clutter clearing, organizing and good housekeeping. I put like with like so it is easier to find things. I have shelves, drawers and storage boxes in my lounge. I like to have a place for everything. Everything needs to be in its place.
It is less easy to keep my kitchen or the bedrooms in so much order. I like to clean the carpet floors in the bedrooms with a hoover. My disabled son's bedroom is a little messy. He is in a wheelchair and that room has his wheelchair going in and out of the access door down the wheelchair ramp.

I have a friend whose housekeeping is an organized mess. She knows where everything is. To the rest of us it just looks like a mess, but it works for her.

There is a big difference between mess and organization.
Mess have nothing to do with the system, there is no such thing as organized mess.

Housekeeping means the neverending non-stop job people have to do, while mostly other members of the house take it for granted and say it's just 5 minutes work. It's ungrateful since as soon as you have done it the mess/dirt/work is back again.
I Always wonder how there can be people who have whole days filled by laying on the couch and being bored while I am running around working hard from early in the morning till late at night. I must do something wrong (will see if I can change that in the next weeks and how dirty everything will be).

However, last night on the news I saw an article about how housekeeping can be unnecessary. Their argument was that our immune systems need to come in contact with germs regularly so that our bodies can build antibodies to fight the germs.

Yes, at home and at the office we should always apply housekeeping.
Specially at work, that involves a lot of documents, we should practice it. Documents should be categorized as per folder duly labeled as to what they are.
In the office each drawer of my steel cabinet has a particular label outside as to whether they are my personal file or my boss. Inside they are alphabetically arranged and properly labeled.
I know it's my personal file if the label is colored green while if it is my boss' it is colored yellow.
