Staying healthy always

March 28, 2013 5:09am CST
From my experience and a little bit of reasearch, I can conclude that 90% of the various illnesses in the world are a product of the food we eat. the body mechanism processes the food we eat and supplies necessary nutrients to the various organs requiring them. Diets deficient of nutrients (especially vitamins) from vegetables and various fruits will only cause ill health over time. Watching our diet can really add up to making us staying healthy and suprising, s good diet can correct existing health conditions. More info soon

If that would be true I wouldn't have such a bad health and one of my daughters would be seriously ill (just like many other people). Never heard about dna? Dna is what makes many people fat (if you have parents/grand parents who lived during the hunger winter / second world war for example), allergies, eczema, down syndrome, autisme, etc etc it's all in the dna!

DNA is what you inherit and your eating habits are your choice. healthy eating will ensure that nothing goes wrong and you stay healthy.

The state of your health is usually down to a combination of the genes you inherited (DNA), the food you eat, your general lifestyle and where you live. I used to know a man who, according to his wife, would only ever eat chips ( French fries or sliced fried potatos) and who had a fairly sedentary job as an accountant. But he lived in a small English vilage, took his dog for regular walks and was extremely healthy till he die of old age. If you live by a major road, you'll suffer from the fumes more than if you live in a remote valley, if you take no exercise and eat a lot you'll be fatter than if you eat moderately and take regular exercise. You have to try to balance every thing you do to get the right food intake for the ammount of exercise you take, hope that your genes are resonably good and try not to do too many things in excess (only smoke a little, don't get drunk too often, take some exercise regularly and try to get a balanced diet). But I think 1 of the biggest dangers is stress, which can create all sorts of heart problems and is easily brought on by too much worrying. Worrying about how healthy you are, worrying if you're eating the right things, worrying if you're getting enough exercise.

Yea, we can't sideline the effect of DNA in determining the health attributes of a person but food is sure one very important factor in maintaining health. Do you mind sharing what the health challenge is?

I agree, big percentage of being healthy depends on what you eat. What you eat can affect your whole body. Fruits and vegetables are really meant for humans.

Also fruits has fibers that helps in the process of proper elimination of bodywaste. by the way we should move our bowels everyday, if not, too dangerous.. It'll become toxic in our body.

I sometimes see fruits and vegetables as life. Moreso, the way they directly impact on enzymatic functions in the body which are the main triggers of various internal body processes. Thanks

Very correct a lot of diseases are caused by various causative agents but taking proper diet can help to keep the body resistance high. Food is a part of healthy living that works with many other factors in correct order as you've mentioned.

You are right! Eat food the way God made it. If you can't eat naturally than don't eat it. Add to that an exercise routine, drink lots of pure water, get enough sleep and look at life spiritually and one will have the best health possible in this corrupted and misled world. Best of health and life!

Couldn't agree more! We prefer to built hospitals instead of good health. I've written many times about what you espouse.

God has actually given us good food for good life, we as humans has truncated the flow of nature in our quest for discovering new things and producing new things. We need a rethink now and it spread to different areas of our daily lives.

Welcome to myLot! Your first discussion and it is about healthy eating. An auspicious start, if i may say so. You are what you eat, is an old saying favored by the health conscious. It si true that your body adapts to the way you eat and your mind is as healthy as your body, it tends to follow the body.

Health is Wealth. We must eat nutritious food and ensure a balance diet full of minerals and vitamins. Exercises is also very important. My son do not eat fruits and vegetables, I really run out of ideas how to make him eat them!

Oh. Great information you have given here on this topic. Yeah. It might cause us ill health over time. It is because some fruits and vegetable are already mixed of perservative but, not all vegetables and fruits. Some of them.

Eating relatively healthy and stuff with good nutritional values is really important. But I think 90% is a bit of an exaggaration. Some dieseases could be avoided by eating good, but a lot of them couldn't (epidemics like the flu, colds, cancers come to my mind).
