OH no tell me I didnt just get a facebook account................

I don't accept friends request on facebook unless they are family or close friends! what I post here on MyLot I would never post it on facebook!

It was really strange for me, too, when I first made a Facebook. Do you have any friend so far? If you do, that may be the reason for getting so many friend requests all at once, because their friends might see on their timelines if they made another friend.

wow, you are really popular, once you sign-up you got 54 friends already. I had 1 account on that tool. Just to keep in touch with my old friends from high school and some old pictures. I always keep in my mind, never put anything in that tools, such as updating your activity. I saw so many people always updating their activity. wow, i was surprised. And i never install facebook to my cellphone, hahaha it's dangerous too. It's fun maybe, but for me it might be dangerous. so have fun with your new FB Maria !

I did have one fb account but I didn't have the time so I did not log in for quite a long time. And now I have forgotten my username and password. Probably I will create a new one [em]lol[/.em]. Have fun there!

It is good to hear that now you have a new Facebook account. Hopefully, it will keep you connected with your friends and relative, also you could check their updates. It is a good site for knowing about activities of those friends and relatives who stay far away from us. By the way, I have a Facebook account and would like you to add me. I had opened a facebook account long back but never used it. I started using it 2 years ago when I joined my MBA course and when all my classmates were using it, so it was easy to share anything and also have fun. I still don't like to spend much time there and I don't like the developments they make and the surprised they give. The privacy settings are too complex to understand and we never know who is seeing our pix, reading our updates etc... Hope u have a good time there :)

I have been on there since 2009, at least I think that is when I signed on. I used to play the games a lot but gave that up. Now the only time I go over there is to do a few things to make points and money. I will look for you.

It's fun sometimes there. I go on very rarely to check out what my friends are doing. I basically only sign in to promote links. But I will look you up there and send you a friend request. The down side there, and we all know it, is that we do not get paid, so thats why I limit my time there.

Congratulations. People search for people all of the time, you will be surprised by how many people have looked you up.

Facebook is what you make it, I suppose. There are bad things: they don't monitor it, there are bad people on there, there are minors half dressed in their pictures etcetera. Though I made a fan page for all of my bubblews and other articles. Plus my referral links. No T.E. will block FB so its a good way to get them all seen, sort of. Plus more likes is more exposure. Its much easier to maintain than a blog. So that's my newest good thing about facebook. I don't see the hype of the games at all.

Facebook is fun, so just enjoy having a facebook account. Try searching your relatives, or your long lose friends.

My father used to say; "try it, you might like it!" Now, you can form your own opinion! I am NOT very active there, but I do visit once a day, just to see what my local friends are up to! It seems the "go to" place for this small community that I live in, so I am appraised of local comings and goings...and keep in touch with relatives whom live far away! Good luck..and enjoy!

If they have your e-mail address or real name it's easy to find you unless you make your account not searchable. (Not sure if you can even do that if they have your e-mail address.)

I do not know how did they find you but, I think if we become new member in facebook, there would be an automatically a suggested friend that facebook will give you. It depends on person if they would choose you as a friend or not. That is what I know.

Welcome to the club maria. Yeah you're right there are many things that had been said about FB but I think it's more of a plus having an account. As you have said, it's one way to communicate with our relatives especially those far from us or have no contact for as far as we can remember. Anyway, with FB you can constantly contact them and to know what's happening or what they have been doing lately. It's also a way to share our achievements even if they are far from us by uploading photos or words of encouragement if they need any. About the friends request, I don't think the requester would know if we deny their requests especially if we don't know them personally.

Hi friend, good to know you created a new Facebook account. As you mentioned you post your photos and details in your fb account. Be careful with it and add your known friends in fb as well as protect your photos using privacy options.
