I have copied these discussions from facebook fanspage,
"Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came
and said to them, “All authority
in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. 19 Go therefore and
make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them
to observe all that I have
commanded you. And behold, I am
with you always, to the end of
the age.”
Wahyu Pewe
"All authority
in heaven and on earth has been
given to me"
The question is, by whom?
If there is a TRINITY, why it has
to be given to "me"?
Think!!
Oliver Elphick
God gave it to Jesus. That Jesus
is also God is not a problem.
Wahyu Pewe
You state "God gave it to Jesus.
That Jesus
is also God is not a problem."
It's clear now.
Assalamu'alaikum Warohmatullahi Wabarokatuh.
I want opinion from Christians, isn't it agaisnt TRINITY concept?
Specially what Oliver has said?

I am not Christian but, i think its intresting. Lot of other problems from Bible verses according trinity concept (One God but 3 persons and roles)
like for example. IF Jesus is God, and all trinity member are equal, so why in Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32
“But concerning that day and hour
no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, nor the Son, but the Father
only.
It says ONLY the Father know the day and hour NOR THE SON (Jesus), so it means Jesus not all knower? But only The Father is all knower? Isn't God supposed to be all knower???
No offence to Christians, i just confused with this?

Since when Jesus Christ came to Earth, he was bounded to the limitation of being human, we should be aware that Jesus Christ is GOD who became man, not "man who became God" which is the common misconception of many people, especially anti-Christians. Please visit this ministry site that compares other religions with what the Bible says. http://carm.org/bible-difficulties/matthew-mark/if-jesus-god-why-did-he-not-know-hour-his-return. "During his ministry in Jerusalem, He was cooperating with the limitations of being a man. During His earthly ministry, He moved in the power of the Holy Spirit and did His miracles by the Holy Spirit and not by His own divine power."
Please visit the link that I gave, it contains the whole article with a brief explanation of those verses you mentioned.
Also, regarding the trinity, you can compare to time, past, present, future, different periods but all of which are still "time". Have a nice day mylotters :).

@Ghajini, thanks for ur explanations. Intresting. So Jesus was a lesser God (since he became a man)? Then who is the 'One True God' at that point? (Or right now too at that matter) It seems to me The Father more to be like a true God (all knower, unseen, almighty, etc). Why u guys worshipping Jesus too as God, if he was and still in the human form until now (like what Hopefull90 told us)??
Why don't you 'only' worship God in His True God form, like The Father?
Really i don't mean to attack Christianity, but just curious.

@Ghanjini, thanks too, for that Trinity metaphore.
(My opinion) I think past is different than present, and future, and present different to from future, and vice versa.
Its like saying George Washington different with Goerge W. Bush, different too with Bill Clinton, but they all are the same, 'former President of USA' but they are different persons (like in trinity concept one God but 3 different persons (hypostases) and roles)

The Godhead is a mystery to me but as I see it there is a Father who is a spirit, there is a Holy Spirit which is a spirit and then there is Jesus who took on humanity. Did he keep that humanity? It appears to me he did as John describes him with a form with a head and feet. I think like a lot of things that are in the Bible every religion has a different view point.

I think it has to do with Jesus taking on humanity. While he had the power to do all things he kept himself within the framework of what humans could do.

God is One. Everything else is just a story for the believers. That's why it doesn't add up. Christ is not God. Christ is a child of God, then again so are all of us. Indeed, children of God are capable of doing marvelous things. Is everyone out there working on that???

Here is how the trinity was explained to me. My Nun took and lit 3 matches..she held the matches apart to show 3 flames.
Then she brought the matches together to show one flame..3 persons in one...I have always remembered that concept and though the trinity is hard to understand, the simple flame demonstration says it all...

All authority ha been given to me to translate it in our natural life today, it is construed that somebody who is more on authority maybe GOD ALMIGHTY give JESUS the authority to act on his behalf. When we execute absolute special power of Atty. to our representative we give him full authority. When it comes to beliefs and religion I am very much silent for I really respect each individual opinion. After all we are just the same stranger to this world.

There is no trinity mentioned in the Bible. Jesus always refers to His Father and My Father. Indicating two persons. The Holy spirit is Gods active force or power, not a separate person. Read these scriptures;John 8:17,18 Acts 7:55 Mark 13:32. All of these scriptures refer to two individual persons or spirit persons. When the verse says "in the name of the holy spirit" it's refering to Gods active force or power. Jesus is Gods son and Jehovah is Jesus Father. John 14;28 "If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the father; for the father is greater than I" I hope this explains things for you.

Trinity concept was made in Nicaea Council on 325 CE, the council was called by emperor Constantine I. There was disputed too, by Arianism (in eastern Church that time) who didn't agree with divinity of Jesus.
