Why is it those who know nothing about computers always think you
can talk to them and still type mylotting comments and responses?
I was doing pretty well til Kathy starts"Can I open the blinds?";Yes go ahead" then I make a typo and yet ano her one.. then she goes "do you want the blah blah?" Now as I did not know what the hell blah blah was I just snapped"NO no" Why does she keep talking to me when she can see I am typing? Surely any fool knows its hard to think what you are going to write and still carry on a two way conversation too.,
You take feullow mylottes? Wish I could put a cork in her mouth lol.

I'm the same. I can't remember a thing that I was tryign to type in myLot when my dad is tryign to talk to me. Sometimes I'll sit here trying to remember and he is still talking! Its annoying and I really have told him before many times, to stop talking to me.

hi echoforever I feel for you and I just got though telling Kathy I am busy do not talk to me I am typing. It did not get through to her as she just babbled on , So I keep having to type things over or undo errors and hope she will run out of steam or breath. lol,

hi echoforever yes she did and her knee hurt so she went down to harass the medical person down there as she wants a pain pill every two hours and of course they will not do that. So I finally got some mylotting done.

When they babble it is the worst. You're trying to concentrate and they aren't even making sense while you are trying to make sense of your own thoughts! Sometimes it makes me want to scream. I hope she will lose steam soon then.

I can do two things at once, so right now I am listening to Alex Jones and typing at the same time and I can still concentrate on what I am writing because I know I can go to Youtube and see the same discussion. I think what is making you irate is not that she interrupted you, but it was for something trite and she was not observant enough. Surely if you were squinting, then it would be right for her to pull the blind or if you could not see the computer keyboard for her to bring over a lamp or aim it towards you.
Sounds she did not have much common sense.

hi suspenseful no she is in the middle of Alzheimer diease and is so forgetful so I do have to really think for both of usf us as I am not senile so I get to help her everyday which I do not mind. But when I tell her "Kathy do not talk to me now as I am busy typing" she just ignores what I said , She was that way before she ever started being forgetful l but it was not so bad.

Because they also do not know about people and how things work. Who is this Kathy person? Sounds like a looloo or something. I would just go ahead with what I had to do regardless of her silliness. I was watching Mr. Hobbs Takes A Vacation the other night late and the cable went out. I don't get to see this movie very often, luckily I have it on VHS. Was just at a good part too. Now that is irritating.

What you otta do is get yourself a pair of headphones(earbuds) and listen to music too. That will tone her out and you can concentrate on what you are doing and listen to music. Just go to Youtube for music or I can give you the link to the one I use. That'd take care of it!

Yes, echo, it is for money but it is a free site where we only play for basically pennies. Not a lot of money to lose or gain but it is fun :) The best part is it is a site where US players can still play. Poker sites are no longer US player friendly with the FBI looking so closely at their bank accounts lol

Oh that's neat that you found a site to use for your hobby. I recently found a casino that uses Liberty Reserve funds, 1 cent deposit and 5 cent withdrawl. I used it a couple times just for fun, won nothing cause it was only a couple cents. I don't want to get into a habit of gambling but just a few cents, why not try it I guess.

I find it difficult to multi task too. But the one thing that gets on my very last nerve is a person who constantly chats and cannot keep quiet at all. I just hate it. Constant talking about nothing. I have a few friends like that but don't really see them too much. Can you wonder why? My husband loved it that I did not chat incessently. I am sorry that you have her for a roomie but what can you do? Sending you big

Sounds like my ex and his mom. They can be 3 or 4 sentences into something they started blabbing about while I was reading or typing, and act all offended when I didn't hear what they said. A problem that could have been avoided by a simple, "excuse me, I need to talk to you", and by making sure that they have my attention first.

My boyfriend sometimes does that as well when I'm writing articles. While I can multi-task if I'm doing something trivial online, I cannot carry on a conversation while I am writing actual articles. I'm good, but I'm not that good.

hio I am still laughing as I know what you mean, Kathy has been doing that as she thinks I am deaf so she keeps raising her voice. When I ignore her then she get really bad., Now however she has gone
downstairs to wait for the money call so I am in peace and typing away hoping to make a little more before the end of March. lol
WE had one here who did that loud talking all the time but I guess he's in the hospital as I have not heard him for ages,. I guess he was pretty deaf. I really do not know why some people talk so loud as its annoying to everyone,.

Oh ma...me thinks she is lonely, and wants your attention. She is also upset about something and is overtalking to cover that nervous and sad feeling. Happens. Give her a nice hug from me, and tell her to learn computers. Let her hear something that Lamby writes so that her mind gets diverted far more easily.

hi vandy she cannot do computing as she is heavily into Alzheimer disease and is getting more and more forgetful. I do have to help her and I know and thats okay. I will do all I can but I just told her I have to have some time to finish out this months mylotting
She is napping in spite of having signed up to get money out of her account this afternoon at 2 pm so I will have to wake her and
remind her she wants to go down and take money out of her account. .This can only be done on Tuesdays and Fridays. So meanwhile I am mylotting to try to make a few more dollars yet this month.

hi allknowing yes and I used to be really good at multi tasking but lately I make too many errors so instead am asking her please do not talk to me as I am busy thinking and writing too.Just because this is the time she should be down stairs to get her call to get her money out of her account she is instead napping and will depend on me to wake her when they call and tell her she wants to take money out of her account., At least right now I am really getting
some mylotting done as the month is almost done with.

As I am typing this I am monitoring what my maid and gardener is doing, giving them instructions what to do and what not to do, at the same time being alert about the pump that is on that fills up our tank. If I am not alert they are not and so once the tank gets filled the pump has to be put off.The garden sprinklers are on, I have to keep a watch on those too. Wait a minute my Preiti is barking probably there is someone at the gate..............

At least with me it is children that do that to me, but at least they don't know any better. Lol You would think your room mate would know better! It is hard to have a conversation and be here thinking about what your typing... I always get distracted when my kids start talking to me while I am here! Lol.

Right now just because she should be alert as she wants to take money out of her account downstairs instead she is napping of course at two o clock they will page her and I will have to wake her and remind she wants to get some
moneyfor herself. At least I am getting a lot ofmylotting done this afternoon.,time is running out. lol

Haaaaa! Put a cork in it! .
I'm just the opposite. I can talk and type at the same time. My daughter says she can't see how I can type will looking at her and even in conversation with her. It's like I use two areas of my brain. One works on while the other part is in conversation.

hey John you do know what I am talking about as I just kept making the most gosh awful errors and some were so bad I could not even tell just what I had written and so I had to rewrite most of it.
I am not good at multi tasking anymore,.

Well apparently she was really talking alot...But it probably
because she dosen't know how one track the mind is when one is
typing on the computer ...Without risking feeling rude, I would
\not have any problem telling someone that I am relly trying to
concentrate on what I am doing right now and we can blah blah
later...LOL

Try taking a timed exam and have either the phone ring or someone talk to you. I had to take my second exam in Western Religion and usually wait until everyone is gone, except my husband was home last week. So I warned him and waited until he didn't need anything and then about half way through, he asks me a question.. I can't remember what he asked, or what I said, but he then realized and apologized.

Try living with someone who has to constantly talk, just to talk even when the TV shows are on that she is watching (to the TV) , talk early in the morning to wake me up on purpose, & talk about nothing at all in fact and that is why I ignore her ignorant attitude so much. Just for the sake of talking. She hardly has some thing interesting or intelligent to talk about. It's a sad thing for some people. The ones who talk the most are usually the ones who who have nothing to say.

hiisn't that the truth. Now why she could not just open the blinds and not ask my permission? thats so stupid. She is as old as I am so why ask me? Then she kept right on talking and iI tried to ignore her but she asked again so I just said"No look I am busy" Asking her not to talk to me when I am typing is fruitless as she cannot remember anything for more than ten minutes. loll

Hi Hatley, I am no exception. Many times while I was doing mylotting, my family member will come around and talk to me. Sometimes, I will continue typing while listening to them but some how my trend of thoughts vanished [em]sad[/.em]. That shows my brain cannot function well in doing two things at a time...[em]lol[/.em].
