Writing Assignments Forcing Me to Read

This past few weeks my writing assignments have forced me to catch up on my reading. It's amazing how much I learned during the process. For instance, my recent writing gig about project management actually gave me a chance to review what I know about the subject. I was familiar with it during my college days, but the assignment allowed me to learn more. Today, I'm reading up on shadow banking and globalization. I have several ebooks on both subjects, but I haven't been able to actually do some serious reading. Did you learn something new today?

I know what you mean! My writing gig have me learning tons of stuff too. I write a lot for legal blogs and doctor's blogs (you didn't think they wrote their own did you? lol) and I have learned a lot. Some things I'd rather not know too...

Hmm. Writing stuff about the law. That's interesting. I can do that. I've been to law school. One of these days, I'll try looking for those types of writing assignments.

Good for you. Today, I learn something new like being patience. Even though deep inside we feel frustrated and irritated, we still need to control our emotion. To survive, I meditate once even though I am sitting in front of my computer laptop and my sun broadband was not working -- through patience, my sun broadband is fine now. I realized that it is also my fault why my sun broadband was not working awhile ago.

Hi Bloggeroo, sounds like you are becoming an expert in many topics. I have not really understood about shadow banking, and there is no need for me to really study it in detail. I think it is good that you learn about it, and then earn from the knowledge through your article writing. Hope you are well paid for taking so much effort.

That is one good thing when we have writing as a career. Not only that we shared our stock knowledge to others, we could also learned about other things as well because we need to. I personally learned lots of things when I decided to switch into writing at the started of the year. This is one of the wisest decisions I ever made in so far as my career in general is concerned. Have a wonderful day and let's continue learning new things!

Now I don't really have classes where I need to read textbooks that much. But I had to make a presentation on talent searching shows in my country these days, and I had to look some stuff up, and I learnt a lot of new things... like there were folksong-singing competitions back than in the 60s and stuff on TV :).
