weighty question: how heavy are you?

This question might sound insensitive but if you are not willing to share, it's okay. I hope the exchange that we will be having here will inspire or encourage others to pursue weight goals. Back in the day, high school and college, I was only 90 lbs. Yes, I was so thin I was embarrassed by it. I started putting on weight lately and I actually hit 130 pounds (my heaviest) and I was bulging everywhere. I looked in the mirror and I didn't like the bulges so I started to cut down on my soda intake and went back to the gym. My current weight now is 120 lbs. but it sometimes goes up and back again to 120. My real goal is to go down to 115 lbs. if that is still possible for my age. How about you? Do you have weight goals too? Share.

Well I have never really had a weight problem. The most I have ever weigh was 130. Then I just started watching what I ate and I have also been at 120lbs at the age of 56. Which makes me so happy. My mom would always tell me wait till you reach 40 and you will then gain the weight. I always told her no I won't. I'm so glad I didn't. When I was pregnant the most I weigh was 126 with with my second girl. The first I was at 120. Back then before getting pregnant I was like you anywhere from 90 to 100 lbs. My only weight goal is to maintain it at 120lbs.

I'm 5'4" but I think my weight of 120 is still a bit high since it can easily go up from there.

My whole childhood I was over weight. Then as I got older I started to lose weight. I started at 150lbs (which was my biggest point) when I was in High School. I got pregnant, had my oldest daughter and got down to 145 after the baby weight was gone. After my son I got down to 130lbs. I lost a lot after I had him. Then I got pregnant with my youngest, I only gained 11 pounds with her my total pregnancy. After I had her, about 2 weeks later I weighed 125lbs, which is what I weigh now. I only want to lose about 5 more pounds because I don't want to be a stick figure. With my height 120 pounds would look healthy on me, not too thin or too heavy. Plus I have a bigger chest so I am pretty sure that is at least 5 pounds with them, I really don't want to lose my chest though. Maybe I will stay the same weight so those don't disappear on me! Lol.

WOW. I gained 90 lbs. when i was expecting. It took me years to shed the weight. I felt awful about my body and only wore sweats. I decided to force myself to wear jeans. Now, years later I'm rockin' skinny jeans. A little confidence can lead to lots more. Fake it til you make it.

Currently me weight is about 106 pounds. I'm okay with my weight, but not that okay with my waist line and leg line I guess. So I do my usual exercise liking jogging, aerobics, and muscle training. But it does not go smoothy because I can't stop the habit of eating lots of food at night. How sad it is, right? But I will never loose the confidence to loos weight and look better in shape, so continuing to exercise it good for me.

I'm currently about your weight or slightly more. I used to be about 90 pounds before I got pregnant. I try to jog sometimes, but not regularly though. I also have a problem of continuous eating, no matter the time of the day. I begin to feel that I'm eating for comfort. I would love to get back to 90 pounds, but it may take some time.

Well i am 6ft high and my weight is 174 pounds.Although is ok for now but i am trying to get it down by 5-6 pounds more. That would be safer.Actually i stopped working out few months back and my weight got upto 192 pounds.Since then i do 40 minutes of aerobics ,that is jumping jacks and ski steps,it was very painful at the start and i cant forget it so i will never stop working out now.Its very easy to gain weight but its very hard to take that down .

You will soon see results if you don't give up on your aerobics routine. No pain, no gain.

188 pounds (which we somehow abbreviate "lbs.") and holding. Can't say I eat 'too much,' as I usually have one full meal a day, two 'snack meals' (a can of vegetables or some hot dogs or a pop-tart) & maybe a snack or two (a handful of potato chips, a handful of saltines, some candy). Don't get a whole lot of exercise. Not even incidental action (like walking around the office, heavy lifting, etc.) so I don't need to eat more than I can get

Hi Myth! Maybe I will lose more weight if I only do one full meal a day like what you do. Might give that a try.

Can we know your scale of age? I am over thirty and a mother of a one-year-old baby girl. I am 120 pounds, it`s so fat especially for my stomach. How I wish to be a woman of only 110 pounds! In practice, I found taking less food at supper is a good choice.

Right now, I and 5'9" and I weigh 325 pounds. I have always been a big heavy guy, but when I was younger, I was mostly fat. I also played football, took up weightlifting, and had jobs with heavy labor involved, so I am pretty strong. These days, while I am still heavy, I have a lot more muscle than I have before. I'm still big, but not as big as people would think I am. At my heaviest, I weighed 353 pounds, and I felt pretty good about it. I had tons of strength (probably too much for my own good), had confidence (because of the excessive strength, and honestly, who wants to pick fights with a gorilla), didn't get injured often (I was damaging more stuff than the stuff hurting me), and I rarely got sick). I'm not saying having the weight of a small horse is healthy, but because I was moving so much heavy stuff (I was always moving things that should have taken at least 2 or three people to move by myself), I just ended up growing bigger, heavier and stronger. I was sick for a while due to stress, and lost a lot of weight (it would be in muscle, it would have been too easy for the lose to be in fat), so I wasn't as strong as I was before. Still stronger than a lot of people, but coming from where I was, I was weak. I finally started getting myself back together, and my body is going back to what it knows best, being a monster. My goal is to pack on the muscle that I lost, and add some more safely. Most people would want to go for losing weight, but I like gaining weight, and bulking up, and having big muscles. I like my size, and my build, and the deception because people think I weigh less than what I actually weigh, but they freak out at the true number. People think I am some type of football player or bodybuilder. I would like to try powerlifting, which can make a person big if they go at it heavy and hard, which probably have me back in the 350 range. I'm less concerned about a beach body, or having a large selection of clothes to choose from, and more concerned about having the strength of a truck, or a few people.

I'm not sure about the lbs measurement. I'm 77 kilos. Which is really bad for my height. I used to be 65 (which is still a bit overweight), but then one particular brand of birth control pills made me gain like 10 kilos. Horrible. Now I'm trying to get rid of the weight. I even bought myself a dress that would be perfect if I could pull the zipper up, so my first motivation would be to fit into that dress, because it's such an elegant princess (but not cupcake prom) type of dress, perfect for weddings or theatre nights. Actually, since I am of the height I have know, I haven't gone under 59 kilos. I just can't do that, probably due to genetics.

i was tall and thin from childhood and even when i was working already. the only exercise i got were PE classes, so it's the only time i had to buy and wear sweat pants and sneakers. i don't have a huge appetite, but i do sweat easily. i took this all for granted so i've never been into sports or even set foot in a gym. now i'm much older, i'm paying for it because my metabolism has really slowed down. i think my ideal weight is 130 and it's so hard to get there because, as i said, exercise was never a part of my life and we all know changing our diet is not enough. i think for your height, 120 is okay. i think what's more important is your stamina, which you get from your regular gym sessions.

I just 103 ibs. That is very thin to me. My weight goal I want to reach is around 132-143 ibs. I need to use some protein product to increase my weight.

I use to be 200 pounds in September 2012 and now weigh 179 pounds. I started running in September and monitoring my food with myfitnesspal and managed to lose 21 pounds. I've also run a few 5ks, a couple of 10ks and recently my first half marathon! I am determined to lose more and get down to 160 pounds. At the momment i've slightly hurt my achilles tendon, so just resting until it comes right again. The last thing I want to do is rupture it like I did my right leg.

I could not believe it at first but according to the old scale lying around, I am now 160 lbs. I'm a bit tall and that could be why. I drink soda a lot and my belly has gone out of proportion.
