In italy we use to say "we are all under the sky", that means we are all fragile, human and bad things can happen to us. And now we all move with cars, trains, airplanes and with these vehicles which allow us to move faster, but we also risk sometimes to have accidents. Well recently that's just what happened to me:
I was driving in my car and a friend was with me, I was respecting all driving rules when I found a parking place for the car, So I have used the car turning signal and started to slow down and.. *CRUSHHHHH* A big hit from a car coming behind at high speed. I needed 3 seconds to realize I was just hit by another car. So I checked my conditions and my friends conditions we were fine even if the impact was strong. My seat was broken and my car door didn't want to open, after I insisted a bit it opened. I went to check the other driver conditions and he was fine.. So I asked him "what happened??" and he "sorry I didn't see your car...".. What?? You didn't see my car?! So at the end he reicognized he was wrong and had to repay me my car.. because he was distracted TALKING AT PHONE!.. Thank God me and my friend are both fine now and I got repaid...But it was surely a bad experience..
Did you ever had a car accident? The worst thing with my experience, was that it wasn't my fault because he was not paying attention to my veichle.. So we don't have to be carefull only to respect street rules, but even to those who doesn't respect them. What do you think?
Have you ever had a car accident in your life?

well thank god i havnt been involved in major accident though i had a minor accident involving my bike. I was driving my bike on a narrow road quite slowly about 30 km per hr when a curve came. I was driving cautiously when a speeding lorry came frm opposite side...
The driver just didnt cared for me. He took a sharp cut bt to avoid being hit i had to go ofroad and it was al sand there so my bike got unbalanced and crashd ahead . Luckily i jumped and wasnt hurt..bt the driver didnt evn care to luk at me and went on his way.
Evrything was okey except my bike..

Woah, in your situation your promptness saved you from having several conseguences.. It's so bad when we risk our lives and the fault is of somebody else.. I have seen that often people driving heavier veichles like trucks, they kind of drive in a less responsable way because they think that in case of accidents, the smaller vehicle (yours) will get major damages and not them, so bad.

My brother also uses he phone while driving. I've had this accident before. I wasn't riding a car, I was on a motorcycle with some friends. We were joyriding and we were drunk. We decided to visit the adjacent town (1 to 2 hour ride from ours) just to see what's up. It was at night and it started to rain. The driver was more drunk than me and so we slipped on a curve and crashed the bike. We ended up taking the bus home. It was a good thing that we brought money.

I see, hope you're doing fine now.. I think that driving drunk is something to avoid always, because you risk your life and put in risk also lives of the others. We must be responsable with driving

I like that saying, it really captures our fragility.
Car accidents can happen at any time, and it may sound a bit too cautious, but we should be prepared for them. No matter how after the rules we drive, there could always be people who don't care about the rules, phone while they drive, drunk-drive... or who think that their arriving on time is more important than others' lives. I don't drive, but once I was in the car with my mom, and some crazy person who drove way too fast for the limit almost crashed us when he vroomed in front of us (while it was red for him)... I was so scared, because if it wasn't for my mom pulling the brakes just in time, I'm not sure if I would be living right now. And there have been about 4 or 5 occasions when some car knocked our car from the back because they didn't care about the distance between the cars, or when someone scratched our car while they were going away from a parking lot...

that must have been bad.. If everybody would be careful these things would not happen, but unfortunately we can grant only for ourselves, and even us sometimes may have a distraction or be not able to avoid some accidents.. They just happen, so we have to be careful and do our best to avoid these situations. Life is risking at the end..

did you go to the hospital? i suggest that you do. this is very important because whiplash (neck) injuries sometimes do not manifest symptoms at once.
five years ago, my husband and i were going home when someone hit us while we were waiting for the stoplight to turn green. it was clearly the other driver's fault. the car was destroyed, we couldn't open the luggage compartment and the glass at the back was also broken. i was trembling from head to toe but otherwise i felt okay and so was my husband. the carabiniere who came to investigate the accident said that we had to go to the hospital for check ups. i didn't want to but he insisted. and he was right. three weeks after, i could barely move my neck. i was having pain at even the simplest of movements. i didn't realise before this how involved our neck muscles are in plenty of our movements. this lasted for almost two weeks and i had to return to the hospital for further tests and x rays.

Yes I did, in facts I had some neck pain for few days but thank God nothing permanent.. In case of car accidents it's always suggested to go to the hospital you never know if you may have pain in some parts of the body..
Wah your experience should have been terrible, now how are you? is your neck fine? I believe car accidents can be traumatic experience because you get hurt in the body (sometimes even if with permament damages) and you are under shock for some time... Driver must be very carefull, lives are not a game
