Well, Hotmail is now Outlook, whether I wanted it to change or not. And at this point, I don't like it at all. I tried to forward something someone else sent me. It would only let me forward the written part, not the photo attached to it. That was what I wanted to forward, the photo. So I tried copying the photo and putting it in a new email. I sent it to myself to make sure it worked. Well, instead of the photo, there was a square with some words but not the actual picture. I finally downloaded the pic to my desktop and attached it from there. I think that worked. The other annoyance with this same email was trying to address all the people I wanted to send my message to. With Hotmail, when I clicked on the address field my whole contact list would pop up and I just had to check the ones I wanted. Bloody Outlook thinks it knows better than I do who I want to send something to, and would only pop up a few of my "most emailed" contacts. I had to type in the first letter of whoever else I wanted to include and then some more names would pop up, but again not the whole list, and I couldn't check off more than one at a time. And the Smileys! Da-amm are they ugly!

The messenger is up in the top bar there, where you see an icon of a word balloon with a face, next to the little house, upper right corner. At least, that's where it is on my screen.

happy Easter - Buddy the dog dressed up for Easter.
I have Yahoo, too, but what I wanted to forward was sent to my Hotmail account. Maybe I'll try attaching it here: it's my cousin's dog, Buddy.

Yahoo email changed too. I had to go to the Yahoo home page and into the mailbox and resave the page in favourites because the mail wasn't opening with my old "favourites" link.

Not recently? I know it changed a while back.

I feel the same. I just checked my emails on the web recently and I was surprised to see the changes. I prefer the older version.

As I've been known to say before, New and Improved isn't always.

I've never had hotmail. I used Eudora, which I loved, and downloaded everything to my computer. I don't like having my email online. Since I changed to Apple, I use their mail program to download everything. It gets my domain mail and my server mail from AT&T, as well as my gmail. It still doesn't have all the features Eudora had, but Eudora is no more and was replaced by Thunderbird, which is, in my opinion, not as good. I don't know why they just can't stop "improving" things and leave well enough alone. I hold the hackers partly responsible, since those who exploit vulnerabilities in software make it necessary to keep updating and patching holes.

I've never used Eudora. If they stopped "improving" everything, we wouldn't have all this e-waste piling up. There's nothing wrong with my previous Mac, other than it can't run the "new and improved" crap.

I'm happy with my 2 1/2 year old MAC, too, but I'm being nudged to upgrade. I can't afford it. I'm happy. Why can't they just stop?

Yea, I'm not enjoying the new version much either... You would think that a new version would be an updated and upgraded version, but it seems more downgraded.

Hi BarBaraPrz! Why da heck is everyone making these changes?????? I had forgotten about the Outlook thing - it made me mad. I have been using hotmail for years and I was fine with it - TOTALLY fine with it - and I hate this Outlook emailajig (still not used to it). Yes, I agree the emoticon thingies are ugly too! But I guess I'll be sticking to it because the hotmail address is one I've been using it from the very beginning and I don't want to drop it! Now about this myLot thing . . . grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I've had my hotmail addy since about 1995-96, so I won't be giving it up, either, but I don't like the changes.
