I am quite scared about applying for an OJT in a company since i have no trainings at all, i do not really excel in my course and i have n work experience... I am sure there are others out there that are so much better than me, so i wonder if i will even get a job. Maybe i'd feel 10 times scared in real life job hunting..

Its good to start fresh actually, that way you can learn a lot,too much preparation can spoil things sometimes. The company people will just check out that you are good enough to do the job and learn fast or not.One should be self confident for that not necessarily an expert, best wishes.

It doesn't sound like this field may be for you. Is there a Department of Labor in your area? I would see if they have a test you can take to see what type of job you would best suited for. They used to. It could be an area you haven't even thought of yet. And you find the area you could take some schooling and then you would be in something you could excel at because you enjoy it. Job hunting is scary and if you have some help it might not be near as bad for you.

I think we have that sort of test in our school before, but then i guess it i quite late, since i will graduate in a year or 2... I do like another course, but then i don't think i would get a decent job if i took it..

The more you know about what interests you and what you would be good at the better job you have.

Don't worry yourself about it too much. Everyone goes through the same process. When you work for a company, you are not expected to excel on your job right away, training is going to be provided.

Yes, if only a company would accept me.. Finding a company is quite hard, and they aren't even replying to my emails.. even my freinds are having a hard time.

My dear don't be, since it's a requirement now a days before anyone can graduate of his/her chosen course, you must. I think most schools will give you a list of the prospective company their students have trained before. Have confidence on yourself, moat students have felt the same way too. Don't think about others better than you, think that what others can do you can as well or more better. Just believe in your capability, most company do hire those with ambitions in life and they are most willing to help specially students. Don't let fears control your life, do it the other way around by facing it head on. And you will see, it's only in your mind.

Hi Lady ! All of us have our first , first love , first to apply for a work and first job ! No worries , no one who applies for a job exempted from having stomach butterflies , all have her or his share. You don't worry that much , nothing is expected too much from new graduates , most are given the consideration and the room for improvement. Have that confidence , this is so important ! If you got it then it is easy for us to convince the company why you need to be hired. Always give your best shot when facing the interviewee . Be the best !

Well, i am such a worrier- if there is a term like that. I just can't help it.. I have not graduated yet, i am just looking for an Internship...unsuccessfully too. I will just try and smile all the time. I hope the interviewer is also cheerful.

maybe u could start off by volunteering. that way there is no pressure on you or the employee, at first. then, you get to decide if it is the right career for you or not.

When I do OJT at the bank, I don't have any experience but learning is the best and having good training. Just be yourself and what you learn during your college days. I am an Information Technology graduate. Just try your best and pray.

OJT means On the Job Training, right? I think all the experience you'll need will be coming from there. You don't have to worry about messing up because it happens. It's better to mess up while you're on OJT than when you're already on a real job. Take my word for it.

Than you for your advice.. many people do say that, that it's okay to not be an expert.. but then when i look at the qualifications of some companies, that is what scares me..Most of them ask for skills and training, which i do not have.

It is precisely the reason why there is OJT, so that you can experience an actual office. Companies do not expect the OJT's to be adept in the job responsibilities so don't fear your lack of experience. However, make it a point to choose the companies that provide allowances for OJT's. You can inquire from SSS, DTI, Philheath or Pagibig including local government offices. The company where I used to work usually hire the OJT's after they graduate from school considering that they have made an investment in training the students. My only advise is to treat your training seriously since it is an experience you can include in your resume when you start looking for a job.

Hi lady! They are not expecting you to know everything. As long as you qualified on the basic qualifications that they set, that would suffice. The work can be learned. What is important is your willingness to learn. Have a wonderful day!

That is what i am afraid of.. if i am qualified even in their basic qualifications; since i am not very confident that i am good in this field, although my grades are okay in all subjects. All i have is willingness to learn.

You don't need to be an expert or be good at a particular task in order to be prepare for an OJT. All you need is an open mind and active participation to whatever you will be learning. An on-job-training is a venue for one to be trained, not a place to exercise your expertise. So do not be scared or feel that way. Just enjoy while learning. Good day!

I will try and do that.. the thing is, i have not even been accepted at anything. Only a few replied to my email and everything is so unsure.. I am not sure if i would even have a company to OJT in this summer.

I am not very good at decision making... and i also do not have time to train in something since i should start applying in jobs now.. I think all that i could do is train myself to be ready for work...

One thing I know about the universe is that it is abundant. You are part of the universe and there's no need to belittle what you can do. Somewhere somehow there will be companies who will need your talent and services and I am sure you will be able to accomplish what you are meant to do if you set your heart on it.
