Deception's ending

Deception is a show I watched to the end and enjoyed for the most part. However, I was kind of disappointed with the season (and probably series) finale. Yes, we seem to know who killed Vivian, but we didn't see the killer brought to justice nor did we hear the whole story of the murder. I can't understand why even if the series gets a second season they'd want to spend it explaining the details of last season's case...it would've been better if Joanna was just assigned another undercover case. Perhaps she could finally reveal that she's really a cop to the Bowers and a few of the old characters could recur as friends (Mia, Julian). Instead, it seems like the show creators planned to just keep the same story and make it ever more complex, like Revenge has done. My guess is it won't be renewed so talk of a second season is moot. I would at least be able to root for it to be renewed a little more sincerely if it had ended well, though. Did anyone else watch it? Did you find the finale as disappointing as I did?

The bad part I like the cast and there is no way there will be a renewal. Bad ratings and the ending wasn't good. Its a shame that the network didn't even try to save the show.
