Do answer a call from the number you don't know?

If somebody will on my phone I will always asnswer it because I don't know if the call is important or emergency.

Most probably, the unnumbered phone calls was a scam, which is plenty of them ! just simply ignore and delete it !

Actually, I won't answer a number I don't recognize. Family and friends are already programmed in my phone and I know when one of them are calling. I do get alot of 800 calls and generally it's someone selling something or taking a survey. My phone is on the no call list but it doesn't matter. I still get calls.

I use my cell phone for work, too, so it's not that uncommon for me to get a call from phone numbers I don't know...

I have this damn situation Im riding @ public utility jeep, then suddenly, when I go down from the jeep, my cellphone ring, and I put it down 2twice, and my phonne rings once again, then I decided to answer it, then luckly that I answer it because, the call is from Paypal, who assisting me about my concern to paypal LOOL

I had experience this many times. Mostly it is someone calling telemarketing and some are scam calls. Once beaten twice shy, so I no longer pick up any unknown numbers since then. It is better to be careful not to pick up calls with unknown numbers.

I don't answer calls from numbers i don't know, as I am not to sure what it would be about, and after I get a call from a number i don't know, I will check the number out on my call blocker to see if there have been complaints on it. I am glad i have the call blocker, as it does its job, and I don't have to deal with the call. Whoever calls, can't leave a voice mail either as the call blocker is set up that way. Believe me, I get enough calls on my phone, and it makes me wonder where they got my number. I have answered calls before not knowing the number, and it would end up being a telemarketer, so I have decided, that no longer will I bother with any of them. Take care, and have a good day.

I always answer calls that I don't know because I have a Childcare Business so people constantly call and I don't know who it is. With a business you have to answer every call you get, just in case it is a client! =)

I usually do (because it could be really important, like a beloved using someone else's phone, if their is broken, or from a workplace I've sent an application to). I only don't answer it when it's a privated/secret number, because 9 times out of 10 they are aggressive telemarketing people who I really don't wanna talk to.

Most of the time I answer phone calls from unknown numbers. I am thinking that maybe it is one of my friends or relatives that have something to say. But whenever I learned that it is just someone that wants to have phone pal I just turned my phone off.

When my phone rings, and I don't know the number, I don't bothering answering the telephone because, it ends up being some one,I don't know any way, or it someone trying to sell me some thing, which I am not going to buy any way.

Maybe I am kinda snob but I do not answer calls that are not in my phonebook. I once answered an unknown number but to my surprise it was a stranger asking my name and wanted me to his girlfriend. He always calls and I never answered it since then. So Calls from unfamiliar numbers are rejected. :D

I always recieve the call from unknown number..but I dont call back back on mised calls from unknown numbers. In the recent past lot has been written by some missed calls having suspicious origins

That happens to me too.I normally wait for 2 miss calls from unknown numbers to answer because if they really want to contact me for an important reason they will try again and again.If friends called us from new numbers they normally will send sms saying who that is...

I do sometimes answer numbers I do not know and then I regret it because it is always someone from telemarketing trying to sell me something. I do not answer calls that are private or unknown at all.

hi mylotter, i do answer some calls to someone's i donot know the number. but if that call are frank calls i use to jot down or remember that number and never answer that again. i dont know why people very often to change their numbers without infprming their friends & familu.

Usually no. unless they become relentless and won't stop and then we find out that its family or someone new and we don't recognize the number yet. happy mylotting!

I don't normally answer calls from someone I don't know. If I do, it's usually some person who offers me a credit card or convincing me to subscribe to a product they're offering. And I'm not really interested with whatever they're offering. But when I was younger, I answer anonymous calls since it might be from the company that I applied to. For me, just send a text message first and ask whether it's okay to call. I find it inappropriate for someone to just call a complete stranger who might be in the middle of something important.

I used to not answer calls from unknown numbers till one day my bro got robbed and had to borrow a phone from the street to call me and I didn`t answer SO now I answer all calls

I would definitely answer it because you never know what it would be if you don't answer it. Besides, if it is a prank call or something like that, you could end the call. 'Cause it is a better risk, than to let an emergency or important call to miss.
