Such a pretty place to live!

Hello, to all of my myLot friends.
I have moved to sunny southern California. The city: San Diego.
This place is amazing and even thought I have no job and still looking, this place is just stunning. The smog, (hahaha), hangs over this city like fog and is pretty cool even though I know that it is not good for anyone to breath.
It is a big city too. I was just at SDSU, (San Diego State University) and saw the campus. Great. Saw the waves coming in from afar, and they look very powerful. (I have not yet been to the beach, but I will go soon.)
Well, there are several reasons I moved here. The first and most important reason is the work. I do not have work yet, but I know that landscaping is huge here and is done year round. This is my occupation, but I do almost anything.
The other reasons is because I hate cold, and this is the furthest south I can go, just about, before I hit the Mexican border, and still be in America. Not that there is anything wrong with Mexico, just that they have terrible wages and I will stay in the US until I become rich! Like I will ever become either rich or famous!
I was wondering if anyone here has ever thought about moving here to California, and if you did, what part would you move to and why?

It really is a great place.
Yesterday I was talking to a lady here who told me to visit La Jolla beach because the sea lions have taken it over, and they are awesome to see.
I am excited just typing the words!

Thank you and I know that I will like it here the longer I am here. This place is great and today I will be going to the beach for the first time. Really excited about that.
Cooler place? I have no more desire to go back to a cold place again. That is just too much for me and I hate to say it, but I think the cold is for polar bears and igloos!
Thanks for the response.

hi Cody mac I live in Garden Grove southern California and moved here many years back when my son was four as jobs were better here and wages in Arizona were much less. I love it here
but the cost of living here as grown huge and even rents have
doubled what they used to be. What I wanted to be was warm and I have succeeded well. I now live in a retirement center and am retired so I have oodles of time to mylot a lot.You should be able to get a lot of landscaping jobs there in that area.

Hello Hatley.
I really have had a hard time finding landscaping jobs here, surprise, surprise!
Mostly there are the Mexican landscaping crews and I would love to work for them seeing I know Spanish ALMOST fluently.
I will be here and stay here for a very long time, regardless the job situation. I know that my fiancee and I will struggle a bit, but in the long run, it will be 100 x's better here than where I have to wait for summer or early spring to get a job that I can do, and have years of experience.
I went through LA on the bus and it is ginormus!
Thanks for the reply!

Looks like you have found quite an ideal place to live in. I believe you should be able to find job pretty soon. Though if you are going to need some partners in your landscaping job perhaps you can start searching one know. As for weather, I prefer to live in places with colder weather because I cannot stand too much heat having excessive sweating issue. That's why I have never thought of moving to those area because I need colder place to live in so that I won't sweat that much. Hope everything will go well for you.

Hello.
I really think that things will be better for me too. I have to find some great work, not only for myself, but for my future with my fiancee.
Things will be great for sure, just a little time and everything will be fine.
Thanks for the reply.

Wow. You are living my dream. I really want to move to California. Such an amazing place with a pleasant climate.
San Diego is where I want to live too but I have kept other options open. Like, Cupertino or maybe San Francisco.

I dont know if I would call it a dream...
This place is great in the morning after about 7 am. Before that it is chilly but still nice.
Evenings here are crisp with a slight chill. I think that it is a great place even though it is chilly at night to the early morning.
I guess that is something that I will need to get use to.
