Good morning everyone! I didn't get out to catch the sunrise, but I went out just now and saw there is no sun shining at all! I took this picture to record this day in my diary. Even though there is no sun, this is a beautiful Easter morning for me. I can't go to church as planned. My daughter has an earache and so none of us can go. it always happens. I'm not going to groan and complain about not going to church. I have the church in my heart. I never get to go because no one will go. There is always an excuse not to go. I'd be embarrassed to just pop in one day a year anyway. I have to work something out for myself here. Any suggestions? There is no bus from my church. I already called and there seems to be no interest in finding anyone to carry me to church. The Mormons stopped by yesterday but SIL sort of chased them away in a polite way. I bet they would have been interested in getting me to their church. Oh well...I'm not whining here. Just thankful for this beautiful cloudy morning which is the day we celebrate the Resurrection.

Happy Easter PQ! =) I am not trying to complain either but my morning has not turned out the way I thought it would either. My husband is a little upset that I didn't make the kids wait 2 hours for him to get home before opening their baskets. They waited an hour and they kept bugging me so I allowed them to open them. It wasn't my fault he was not home... Aside from that, the kids are having fun and it will be a better day as it goes on I am sure. :) I wish I could go to Church too but I don't have a ride there either. =( Like you said though, Church is in my heart always. =)

It makes me want to sit here and cry. I want to go so bad. I want to hear the resurrection story. I want to feel the Glory. I do in my own way, but I miss being with people and I miss the music. Oh your hubby didn't get to see the children open their baskets. I can understand, but he was a child once. I'm sure he will understand and have a happy day. My daughter is making banana pudding and potato salad to take to Easter dinner at the inlaws. I will be going also because they include me in the family functions. That is a blessing for me because I feel so alone even though I live with family.

Ok, I see now. But they should stop being selfish and drop you off.

I don't ask them too since they don't want to get out. I may find a different church and ask for transportation. I need to but me some decent church going clothes though if I go somewhere new. I usually just wear jeans when I go to my church.

It's not my car. They don't let me drive alone. It has been only on seldom occasions that they let me take the car to my spine doc in Winder. Now that I'm having some confusion (forgetting where to go when driving) they are even more strict on me. They will never let me drive alone, and they don't offer to take me and drop me off.

Happy Easter to you my friend, today, here in the UK we put the clocks forward to signify the start of Summer time, I awoke early with the sun pouring into my bedroom, a welcome sight, yesterday we had more snow! We went round to see our elderly neighbour today to give her some Easter gifts we had got for her. I am sorry you missed out going to church.

It's cloudy here, too, PQ. It should start raining any time now. I feel bad for all the families who have planned Easter egg hunts outside. When I was married to my ex, his mother would have an Easter egg hunt for all her grandchildren every year. It was such fun watching the little ones finding an egg. The excitement in their expressions was worth more than money could buy. I'm not a religious person but I am very spiritual. I don't believe in churches, synagogues, mosques or any of that. I believe we have all we need inside of ourselves, in our hearts, in our minds, in our souls. It is nice to gather and celebrate, of course, but it's not necessary. Anyone can practice their belief anywhere they are at any time. Your attitude is commendable. Enjoy your Easter! I was hoping to get outside again today and do some more weeding around my strawberries. It's been in the 50's the past couple of days and I've taken advantage of it by working outside in the yard. But, it's too wet, or about to be. Even if it's not raining right this minute, it's very, very damp out there. I'd get a monster headache in no time if I went outside to do anything right now. Actually, it's cooler at the moment, too chilly to be pulling weeds, only 41F. I used to use 60 degrees as my que to get outside but now it's 50, since winter doesn't want to give up without a fight this year. lol At least the snow is all melted! I hope you can figure something out to be able to get to church more often. I think it would do you a world of good, especially if you could go every week. Whenever you do get to church, see if any of the members could give you a ride. If they are worthy of being members of the church, they should be more than willing to help out a fellow worshipper. Good luck!

Wow Mentalward! You are getting outside to do gardening. I love fresh strawberries but we have no place to plant. We have a wood lot in our back yard. In not allowed to go back in there. They are afraid I would fall. Deer go in there sometimes. It's beautiful to see. I bet there would be some good soul there. I am also spiritual more than religious. I don't have money for tithes and offerings, so that is something I struggle with. I'm embarrassed to go to church and have only a dollar or two to give. I do miss church though. I would love to go. Many blessings MW!

dearest PQ you are not whining at all .Its just a post from someone who wants to be in church more not only for special occasions and is frustrated now as she cant even go for these. I know what you mean. With all the commuting and working I do I am too exhausted to set the alarm clock for Sunday mornings and I use Saturdays to catch up on e mails and a bit of housekeeping. So I am not nearly as often in church as I would like to be. Its a 25 minutes walk from here to the church I like best so thats a lot and I guess if I am awake early enough I will go to the church almost round the corner though its not the church of my choice. Sorry that no one of your church would just get you from your home and then get you back to church.

If no one is interested in getting you a ride to the church, maybe you should look for a different church? Maybe one that's similar to yours (in belief, not in practice!). Also, there are services live on the internet which help quite a bit. I don't go to church here, but I do watch live services and listen to sermons and music throughout the week.

Looks like it's still Black Saturday at your end, but Happy Easter/Resurrection Day to you & your family nonetheless! I can relate - it sucks when you have church in your heart & mind, but can't physically go. I've actually been "attending" church online for some time through the TD Jakes website (Potter's House of Dallas). Other churches stream their services online too, i.e. Joel Osteen, Casey Treat, John Hagee via (GETV), Fred Price, etc. It maybe a little late, but you can try their evening services. A Hagee service is on RIGHT NOW. Hope you get on one.

The Easter bunny has been here and gone. Cami went to get more eggs so she could dye more. It's 70 out and all the kids in the neighborhood are out yelling and screaming. Maybe you could find a neighbor or someone online nearby you. My daughter told the morons(they are called Mormon morons by those who have experienced them) here that she was a Satanist and they haven't been back. We are into organized religion. We would rather go to the mountains or even the park.

Have you belonged to this church your whole life or at least for a long time? When you were able to go on your own did you attend regularly? If you have been a regular member then I would expect the pastor would see to it that someone helped you attend even if your family won't. Of course, if you didn't attend much when you were able I can see why the members would have reservations about taking on the responsibility. Of course that don't make their reluctance right. Christians are obligated to help one another when they are able. Although I can see both sides of the problem I don't think either side is right.

I am not a religious person, and I really don't care about Easter or other Holy holidays. I still have to get to work this afternoon though, because I need to make some money instead of doing nothing at home. This morning, I probably miss the sunshine already, since I got up around 11:30 A.M. when my father woke me up. It was cloudy, and it seems the storm is coming too. I hope everyone has a great Easter day.

Here they hve a services for the elder, to drive them to church even people who go to the church. I was up at 8am, fed everyone, and went to work. I haven't done anything else, I've been online catching up, but this is one day I actually get to realize.

Good Morning to you too and Happy Easter to you and your family. It is also a very cloudy day here in Puerto Rico. I was excepting the sun shinning in celebration of our Lord rising. This is the first Easter in a long time that I haven't seen the sun as I open my drapes. However, it is still a nice and calm day but I have to say I miss my girls and my grandkids. I use to go to church but since moving to Puerto Rico there is no church nearby. I believe however, God is in my heart and soul and I pray each and everyday. Also we have been watching Blibical movies all weekend. The church is a moneymaking business and not what Jesus wanted. It was suppose to be a house for praying. Not for paying a priest for Baptizing, comfirmation, weddings. Bingo should not be played in a church either but they do it. So I don't feel bad about not going especially I wouldn't want to show up only on holidays. That is being hypocrital to me. I can watch the mass on TV or Joel Osteen and pray at home and I'm good with that.

That is too bad that no one in the church will come and get you. We have taken people to church many times and I have been given rides many times when I was the only one going. I think you are right about the Mormons. I think they would have found someone to come get you.
