hi to all
well, actually I'm from Pakistan, as you know more than 10 Million Pakistani peoples living abroad & working in different countries, they also send 14 Billion $$$ per year to Pakistan as well, I also want to join them, so I start my search then research, My dream is to Job & Live in United Kingdom, but I feels its not so easy to go & settle in UK, Visa policies are not so easy also they offers very very less salaries??? I don't know why??? OK, I asks & search about United States, as a Single Guy, Peoples tells me its impossible to gets a US Visa because they don't allowed single Pakistani to came & work in US, OK now easy option left is Dubai & Gulf countries, Gulf Countries are only for earning, there is no option to reside there & be a citizen, so I choose them for last option, ofcourse they offer big salaries, I feels they offer more than US & UK, hey guys can you tells me??? hows you survive in less salaries??? but high standards??? curious to know??? have a nice day...

Hi Tushavi,
It's a very good idea, if you can settle or at least work abroad for some time, it'll make your life easier.
I would suggest you to first try for Gulf Countries.
Reason:
1. Easy to adapt the conditions and the culture.
2. Generally you won't have to pay income tax in most of the countries.
3. Currency value is good.
4. There will be more options, because there are several countries.
As you have already mentioned the challenges with US and I would not suggest you to migrate there, a couple of month back a lady had pushed an Indian on railway track assuming that he was a Muslim (Actually, he was a Hindu). That's the level of challenge you may have there in the US. When you think of UK, it'll not be tough to adapt to the conditions there but again the opportunities are very less in UK. It's only one country with limited number of jobs. I've heard there is a region where most of the Pakistani people live, so you can live there and adjust with them but lack of opportunities will be a challenge for you and even if you get a job, you will have to pay income tax. Think carefully check with people online and then take a step.
All the best!

Once you go abroad, your salary won't matter, the only thing that will matter will be your savings. If you earn X and spend Y, then you should choose a country where the value of X-Y is maximum or in other words, your savings should be maximum.
Note: Y will also include the income tax.

I fully agree with 'dollar3235'. If you will go to gulf country, you will have lot of advantages and the first one (easy to adopt the conditions and culture) is biggest one as per my opinion. I also feel that you will also get an advantage that they won't put too many conditions like UK and USA would ask for the visa. Only thing you need to take care of is that you will have to try and save maximum amount when you are in gulf. Many times people earn good amount but due to the high standards of living and due to expensive life style, people are not able to earn more.
Most importantly the conversion rate to Pakistani currency is qutie good so even a small amount sent by to (in currency of gulf ) will become good enough for your family in Pakistan to live comforatbly,
Have a nice time friend...!

As I know to get a high salaries you must be good or excellent to a certain job offers of those countries like US UK or AUS CAN also in DUBAI. Lots of people living in third world countries dreaming of working and migrating to US Can and UK. But the hardship of getting Visa are most problems. You are asking of how can we imagine living with low salaries at a high standard class places. Well to live here and there are almost the same. If you are in Pakistan you earn and spend Rupee. If you are living in Philippines you ear Peso and you spend Peso. If you are living in US the same you are earning Dollars and also spending Dollar. All are the same. Your standard of living must be accoeding to your income and ways of life. Anywhere you live, must have the same effort equal to how you live your life.: :)

Hi Tushavi! I find this discussion so challenging. Anyhow, Based in my research, It's easier to work and live in Dubai. As of the moment, it is really so hard to migrate in US & UK. For practicalities sake, I chose to work in a place where it is easier. The cost of living in Dubai is low, I'm sure you can adjust your income.

If your looking to better your life, and living standards, i would say come to america! But like others have said it is probably harder but not impossible. My advice would be to join the pakistan air force, if they have one or army. From there save up your money and move to america. We have tons of safty nets in case you dont have money for food or housing, and were a big melting pot so you would fit right in. Dont be afraid to take the risk cause the pay off is worth it.

I am an immigrant myself. I am Russian who came to live in USA 8 years ago. I must tell you it is very hard to be an immigrant. I miss my family, my friends ,my culture. Besides you will never be fully accepted in a country you are going to immigrate to. You will always be an outsider for them. Think about it before you decide to immigrate.

Working abroad or emigration is not as easy as it sounds. You will have to leave your friends and family. You will have to leave your country. You will need to adapt yourself to the new environment, language, religion, customs, etc. You may even have to be prepared to be discriminated. You may earn more compared to if you work in your country but it is the saving that counts after the high cost of living for food, lodging and tax/visa. So you could not live like what you would want to like in your own country in order to save more. You may not like it.

hi, tushavi. probably you've seen/known pakistani families who are living comfortably because they are supported by a relative working abroad that is why you also want to migrate. believe me, it isn't as easy as it looks. when you're away from home, you will suffer from homesickness. there will also be problems of adapting into a different society with a different culture, language, religion, etc.
while richer countries offer higher salaries, the cost of living is also high. if i can spend all my earnings in my country, i would live like a queen. unfortunately, this isn't so. we have to pay the rent of the apartment, electric, water, gas, and condominium bills, and spend money on food and clothing. immigrants scrimp in order to save and send money to their relatives back home.
if you're looking for a job that would make you save more, i suggest that you find one that offers free housing and food. in this way, you will just spend a small portion of your salary for your personal necessities. when you've saved enough, you can go back to your country to start a small business.
if you're interested in permanently residing in another country, then this is another matter. the requirements vary, depending on your country of choice.
