I received the following email and need your help.
Dear Player,
We have strong evidence that you may have attempted a transfer of RuneScape accounts or traded virtual items outside of the game environment.
Realworld trading destroys the economy of Runescape, violates your agreement with us, and any player that continues to engage in the illegal activity has no place in our community.
All of your accounts, main and otherwise, are now on our watch list and will be monitored for real-world trading. Regardless of who you are or how long you've been with us, if you decide to real-world trade ever again we will have no hesitation in: (1) permanently removing your account from our community in order to protect Jagex's rights, and (2) possibly naming you as a defendant in Jagex Limited v. John Does, which is a lawsuit based on antitrust law violations that is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
If you decide to ignore this email and instead continue Real-World Trading, we (Jagex LTD) reserve our rights to pursue statutory damages against you for between £200 to £2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future real-world trading in accordance with 18 USC. 1304(c)(2).
In addition, new black marks have been added to your Runescape account. If left unchallenged your account may be temporarily disabled.
Please complete the following security form to monitor your account's status or to appeal the infractions you have recieved:
http://secure.runescape.rs/rs/m=weblogin/loginform.ws
Please note: If we do not receive a response from you within 48 hours, we will have no other choice than to disable your account.
Sincerely,
Jagex.

The email seems legit. I have not played runescape ever. I think I may have started an account once but that was it, and well I don't know whether to ignore the email or try to get in contact with them? The link doesn't work for me as I don't have a log in and I don't want to create one just for the sake of contacting them.
What would you do?
or does it seem phishy to you?

Try and login to your account and from there contact customer support. There is a strong chance this is going to be a scam.

I don't have an account that is the thing. I think i once did but I can't be certain that I had. Lamb up there though proved it was a scam.

Let them sue, I dare them?
I got the same e-mail that day, saw the Facebook post, and deleted it, but not before asking my kids if they had a Runescape account.

Being as how you've said that you've never played Runescape, I would be inclined to think that this is some kind of a phishing email. I know that this has been something that has been happening more and more often with all kinds of different sites and when I receive one of these kinds of emails, I have to admit that what I will do is to just junk the email because I know that it is something that really doesn't have any concern to me.

it seems fishy to me. if you are not active on that site, how could this be? don't respond at all. just delete the email. it's probably from a hacker trying to get some account information on you.

If it were me then I would leave this alone as it really smells fishy and is probably a scam. Happy Easter
