The New Testament starts out with four "gospels" they are the eye witness accounts (testimonies) from four sources.. from disciples "who witnessed all that Jesus did" and His life, words, execution and resurrection. It's interesting to note that these same disciples were severely flogged for "teaching in His name" and told not to do it any more, but they went straight out from this to the people and the temple and continued teaching about Jesus. Also all but one of the disciples (apostles) were martyred rather than take back their testimony.
After these first four accounts called "gospels" which is Greek for Good News, is the account of events concerning the very first believers.. then there are letters to church groups from leaders such as Peter, Paul, James, John and Jude. The first churches circulated these letters and books among their selves.
If you wnat to find out about Jesus, his life, etc, you can read one or more of the gospel accounts. It's interesting to see they all tell the same story, with some differences in small details, as occurs with all eye witness accounts. Most believe the Book/Gospel of Mark was written first about 60 A.D. - thirty years after the fact. Mark was not an apostle but worked closely with them as a traveling companion and a sort of secretary. It's believed he wrote down Peter's account.
The last of the New Testament written was the Book of Revelation, written by the disciple/apostle John (who also wrote a gospel account and three short letters). The Book of Revelation was written around 90.A.D.
Jesus was born around 4 A.D. (there was a slight error in the early calendar) and began His ministry at about 30 years of age, and was crucified/executed about 3 years later.
blessings..

I believe cause what they have teachs agaisnt something that already there.
Also all but one of the disciples (apostles) were martyred rather than take back their testimony.

Hi there Wapewe! Welcome to Mylot!
New Testament contains the gospel and in it, you will find the teachings of Jesus Christ and how he added and further explained the lessons that was taught by our God in the old testament. You will also find here the miracles that he performed and how he changed the lives of people, how He sacrificed to save us from our sins and also an insight of the things that are yet to come.

Why do you think the Bible contains both the old writing and the newer ones?
In the bible we can see that the Israelites called out to God. They wanted a saviour. They wanted leadership. They asked for a king to guide them. This is the purpose for the scriptures of that period - to be an answer.
Now if it is decided that these later scriptures are not to be accepted then that decision goes with a belief. Does this answer your question?
I am interested in hearing your answer too wapewe.

Firstly, You said "Why do you think
the Bible contains
both the old writing
and the newer
ones?"
So I wrote, "
Cause the Old and
the New seem to
be different.
According to you, is there any different between
them?"
Are we cool?
And for the record that Christians will have a new 10 texts on their bible.
Do you know about that?

According to the article, it's mean that any possibility that the bible could be taken or added new verses in the past?
