Went to family for Easter dinner. I had a little but of everything. I ate so much my little tummy can't handle it. Made me want to sleep. Had a spoonful of banana pudding, a sliver of apple pie, and a little bit of strawberry shortcake. Now I'm hurting with dumping syndrome. My eyes are always bigger my belly. We had ham, creamed corn, rolls, sweet potato soufflé, potato salad, and done other stuff I can't remember. I got like a teaspoon of everything and my tummy is hurting! Now I'm so tired and I just to sleep. How was your Easter dinner? Did you do an Easter egg hunt? We didn't do one.

It was $6.99 at my grocery store... No, it doesn't taste fishy as long as the fish is fresh.

That's something I've never had. Does raw fish taste fishy? I don't think I could try that. I bet it's expensive.

Oh that's too bad that everyone couldn't be together. We didn't have any children at the dinner so there was no egg hunt. If the MIL's granddaughters had been down from Maryland they would have had one. Have a good rest of the day. We left some food there and brought home some ham and some of the banana pudding. We left the potato salad for B & J to enjoy.

Dinner just got done here, but my kids filled up on the broccoli cheese soup and sourdough bread that was supposed to tide them over until dinner was ready. I made Parmesan chicken, corn casserole, and frizzled cabbage. I might make cupcakes later, but I am pretty tired since I had to work this morning. No egg hunt here.

It is a recipe that my sister found and then tweaked actually. Basically you practically shred the cabbage and cook in some butter or oil with same salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook at a really low temp like you would to caramelize onions. While that is cooking I half cook a package of Ramen noodles minus the seasoning and drain the water off. Mix the noodles into the cabbage and stir. I cook for a few minutes combined. Sprinkle with some nutritional yeast flakes and Parmesan cheese shreds and stir together. The nutritional yeast gives it a cheesy, nutty flavor without all the fat from the cheese. Makes it easier to use less cheese.

Wonderful! What is frizzeled cabbage? Might it be fried cabbage? I live fried cabbage and onions.

My daughter didn't cook Sunday. For some reason she put it off until Monday night. Her and one of her neighbors planned this big bar-b-que. I think they are cooking for the whole trailer park. I don't care really. I am staying right here in my room. She can just bring me a plate.

Dinner is still cooking, we have turkey, multiple types of stuffing, corn, peas, beans, sweet potatoes, different salads, and coleslaw. My brothers always overflow their plates, and half of it gets thrown out. My Grandma always bakes a few pies, and brings them.

Loved the title, made me smile, mum made us a wonderful, scrummy roast pork dinner with all the trimmings, pork is my favourite meat. I didn't get a single Easter egg, but I am not that bothered, the dinner more than makes up for it. I didn't have any pudding, I was stuffed. Although I made room later for one of mum's homemade coconut cakes.

We did not have any little ones to do an Easter egg hunt with. In fact, we did not even make any Easter Eggs. The entire family got together at my brother's house. There were fifteen of us and lots of good food. I tried to be good. We also had ham, potatoes, gravy, broccoli casserole, carrot salad, green bean casserole, corn, and an assortment of desserts. We had candy everywhere. We played horseshoes and bocce ball. Then my husband, son and I left to come back home. I am working a part of a shift tonight. Friday night we had a Good Friday communion, Saturday my brother's church hosts a fifth Saturday Gospel Singing, and of course we had Easter Sunday services today. Good weekend all the way around. I saw my nephews whom I have not seen in quite some time. My younger niece starts nursing school tomorrow.

Hi pq, my family is doing Easter next week in order to make things less hectic for those with kids and other families. I did get a nice easter dinner though that was delivered to my work from my best friend of over 40 years. She brought me some ham, potatos, carrots and roll. It was amazing and unexpected. I have my little grandson tomorrow and I am hiding eggs for him and he has an easter basket here waiting for him. It'll be fun.

We do not cook during weekends and will usually eat out with my daughter and her husband. We usually spend time together during weekends and enjoy each other's company as they are very busy with work daily.

We did not have a Easter egg hunt because its just me and my husband. We had a great dinner and I'm also stuffed. We had cheese and broccoli ravoili with homemade garlic knots dipped in an olive oil season dipping sauce. It was delicious. In another hour or so we will have brownies with coffee and tea. So happy that you had a good Easter.
