We've all heard of it. most of us have it, some of us don't. the ones who have it love it, and yet still dont know how much more they could be saving with it. I am talkin about Netflix, yes. we all know how cheap and crucial it is, who wouldnt want unlimited movie/tv show access for as low as 8$ a month? i prefer it over anything. People need to realize that cable is NOT a necessity in any way. Im only 17, so most people dont wanna hear what i have to say about this topic. But seriously, out of all the thousands of channels on cable tv that you pay about $100+ a month for, what channels do you actually watch? and out of those channels, how many shows on them do you actually watch? a good 65% of tv is pointless in my opinion. all these new "reality" shows, that have nothing to do with real life, that are attracting everyone's attention are a waste of time. But i digress, the point im trying to make here is people should just get rid of their cable and stick with Netflix, or something of the sort. you can manage it a lot easier, you can watch just about anything you enjoy, and you can find new things that you might enjoy that you wouldnt have otherwise known about! its a good idea, people just need to open up their minds to it

Yes I agree with you. None of those things are a necessity. And netflix is way better than having to have a cable bill with a contract that you end being stuck in. I'm so thankful that we do not have cable. It just cost way too much.

people will eventually realize that most of tv is trash and hopefully get rid of cable. but its had a huge impact on people so it might take some time

You are selling it quite well like my former student. Once he came up to me and talked about netflix being really ''good-value'' for money. If I have so much spare time to watch many movies I would probably have an account there. It sounds pretty good so far from what I have heard.

i know what you mean. for the longest itme i was obsessed with netflix. it had all the shows i needed for endless hours of entertainment.
my boyfriend, his brother and I would spend countless weeknights after work just scrolling through, seeing what they had or what was new.
but then it got broing. i saw all my shows ans the ones they were updating went my style. yes, it is an excellent price for tv but unless you like the hsows its not worth it.
so i stopped using it. it was great to catch up on my shows but then not so much.
now i use the internet. i stream all my tv shows and movies on hosting sites. its completely free. a little more hassle than netflix, but you have an unlimited number of choices of things to watch.
i highly reccomend something like videobull or porject free tv if you have free/unlimited internet instead of netflix.
everyone should at least give it a try though.

I like netflix too. We've decided to cancel cable because netflix is way cheaper. It may not have the up to date movies and tv programs, but they have lots of choices which I like. I usually find my favorite programs online via abc.com so I'm not really missing out!

The only problem i have with netflix is that they do not update there shows/movies! like they do but it takes wayyyy to long to update them so im constantly bored with the same shows and movies im seeing on there. Wish they could be a little faster.

i completely agree! lol sometimes though, if you watch a movie/show until the end, it'll show you 3 or 4 suggested movies/shows based on the movie/show you just watched. i find myself laying in bed for hours liking things ive never heard of

If I am not disciplining myself in watching too much movies and dramas I might avail it soon... but right now I am solving my addiction to T.V. Lol! weird but... yes I am a T.V. addict...
Hehehehe!!! but to some who really into cables... you have a point for lessening their utility bills with this kind of leisure after work. Bye. God bless and thanks for the kind sharing this info to us! Have a great day!

I save more by not even watching tv if I don't have to. Netflix or any other subscription will still need payment. I rather use the time to maximize my internet subscription by finding ways to earn online.
