Ok im extremely pissed off!!!
Ive wasted at least 3 hours, downloaded around 10 differend editing programs and nothing works this has become ridiculous to waste so much time and energy for something i thought would be simple to do.
PLEASE, someone help me, here is what i need.
I have a few 1 hour videos, so 60 minute videos in mp4 format.
I want a program in which i can take each of those videos, one by one, and cut pieces out of it.
For example cut 5 minutes at 20-25 minutes of the video, and also cut at 40-45 minutes.
That would make the video of 60 minutes to become a video of 50 minutes.
The ridiculous part is that almost all the editors i have tried gave me the option to edit the beggining or the ending parts of videos, or gave me the option to cut a part of my video and save that particular part i have cut.
I want to cut a few minutes here and a few minutes there, and save my video as it is without those few minutes i have cut out.
Please someone help me and tell me what i can download and use because im close to throwing the lap top at a wall and calling it a day...un-f-believable!!!

Let me see what I have in this machine....
Alright, I have a Freemake Video Converter here.
Install the freeware from here - http://www.freemake.com/ You may need to install .NET framework to make it works. (it's already on its installer bundle if I remember correctly)
1. Open the program
2. Add the video, press that scissor logo
3. Play the video, decide time range that you want to delete (Start Selection - End Selection - Cut Selection)
4. Repeat
5. Ok
6. Convert it into one filetype. Choose mp4 if you don't want to change the type.
7. Wait
8. ...
9. PROFIT!!!
It should solves your problem. That, if I have understood your problem correctly. It's actually 00.00 AM here. Kinda sleepy.

Do you use Windows? If so, try the Windows Movie Maker. Cut and splice to your heart's delight.

What Windows and what version Movie Maker are you using?
I just tried uploading a MP4 file to my Windows Live Movie Maker (Windows 7, v.2011) and had no problem. I used to use Movie Maker when I had XP and I uploaded AVI and MP4 files (now I use Corel VideoStudio Pro X). You should be able to upload any video format, but you can only save it as a WMV.
However there are plenty of video converters available. You can do a search.
Here are some freebies from cnet: http://download.cnet.com/windows/video-converters/?filter=licenseName%3D%22Free%22%7C&filterName=licenseName%3DFree%7C&rpp=&sort=&tag=narrow

You said you had Windows and Movie Maker is a part of Windows. You sort of threw me when you said you downloaded it because it should have already been installed.
Nonetheless, you're right, cutting out clips and splicing the rest usually is and should be a simple thing, so I can understand your frustration.
I know Windows is proprietary about using their branded WMV, but that is why I suggested a video converter. You can convert files to what you want. Even to upload to WMM, convert to a WMV, edit, save, than reconvert back to an MP4.

Jesus christ, take a helicopter to go to the supermarket next to your house. Right? :p
hehehe anyway thanks LaDeBoheme but im done, i gave it up...for now at least, not important...
I also thought about cutting my video before the first commercial, between the second and third commercial, and from after the third commercial until the end of the clip.
And then using an editor to unite those 3 clips into one, but again, i dont take a plane to go to the kiosk to buy milk, if i cant walk to it or drive a car, bike, its not worth the efford and gas anymore :p hehe

Since you apparently have a program that allows you to cut out any part of the video, cut out the parts you want and then get a program that puts those parts together. I'm pretty sure there are some; the one I have I had to pay for but there are probably some that are free or that are free for a trial period like 30 days.

I have downloaded and tried close to 10 of them.
They allow me to cut as much as i want from the beggining up to a certain point.
They allow me to cut as much as i want from and part of the video up until the end.
They allow me to cut a piece from the middle of my videos and save it as a new mp4.
They DO NOT allow me to cut a few minutes here, a few minutes there, and connect what's left of the video into 1 mp4 file.
There lies my problem!

Thanks mate. I actually might use it to convert some files that i need in a day or two.
That is if i cant find the files to download them as AVI or mp4. I will have to download i think mkv or something, and later convert...

Well this program you select the start and stop time by sliding the slider along and then you just save that point and the end point and crop it. Then you left with that section of video. Rinse repeat for each clipping then you drag and drop your videos one by one in order and save them in whatever format you want. Totally free xD brailliant software. Its also very very fast. I converts a 700mb file in a minute about. and the cropping is very fast so is putting multiple videos into one big video. Its quick easy and very effective. You wont be disopointed. If you need help how to use it just ask. But im sure if you look around and fiddle you can figure it out yourself. :) good luck
