if pending friend request still pending!

hello mylotters my friends and everybody even i was here before,this is my 3rd time here and i feel like i am still beginner.
i wanna ask you about friendship here, why some people just ignore our friendship request ,what is the reason?
i mean if somebody wants to be friend with me ,i just feel happy and accept it.
i am really thinking this for a long time but believe me i cant find any reason,
these people are selfish,i really dont think so,
but maybe they are afraid of meaningless scammers who comes to mylot just get new members to their blogs or internet site?
maybe this one.
but believe me i dont wanna do any advertisement,i dont want anything from you.
so if you dont accept my friendship it s ok ,it just hurts me but doesnt kill me.
but it sometimes make me think long before i sent a new friend request.
please give me some advices.
i just need friendship here,so why so serious?
what do you do if your friend request take time?

I do accepted friends request as I think that is the purpose I come here. So that I can receive the email notification when they post a discussion. I can access to their post through email easily. I do not like to browse through one by one from the main page. I find it troublesome as for now. However, I do have others not accepting mine. May be they are busy and not notice it. Anyway, I just leave it there and wait. There is nothing I could do as I do not think it is good to beg others to be your friend, haha!

Now that I think about it. You see there is always something new to think about. I have never deleted any friend here for there has not been a need to. I am really happy about that.
I have waited to see though if someone is very new if they stay to have discussion and some do not. You are right we can opt out of a relationship if we need to.

yes ,the thing is not actually you are i am right.
the things is we just should care the people here,thats the point,
if we feel dissapointments and if we get weird people as a friend,of course we will be sad but we can also have experiences about people even its bad,
but it musnt stop us to accept friend requests.
even i am right,your thinking style is also right.

And also, don't forget, sometimes a person doesn't get to the myLot site as frequently as others do, so it may be quite a while before they see it, to accept the friend request, if they do accept!
I myself, have to take a glance at a person's profile, before I accept them as a friend !

I accept every friend request that I get, and the new friend requests are one of the first things that I check when I open Mylot. Some the friend requests that I have sent to other people are still pending. Sometimes it is quite easy understand why they are pending because some of those members haven't logged into for a very long time, and maybe they don't plan on coming back at all. Sometimes the members are still active here, but they don't accept or reject my friend requests. I sometimes wonder why they leave the requests pending. I think that some people do that when they receive friend requests from new users because they want see if the member will become an active member or not, but some people do the same thing when they receive friend requests from old members like myself and I am not sure why they do that.

. I do think sometimes I am in a hurry and miss the friends request..but I always accept as soon as I noptice a request..In fact I just went to ask you to be a friend..

I have some pending friend requests too. For some reason, it doesn't hurt me. I just don't care. It is their choice to accept us or not. there's no point getting sad over it. There are still so many people out there who would be willing to befriend us, why focus on those who are not willing to befriend us?
Plus, let's not take things so personally and just have fun. If we take things too personally, it can cause some problems later on. It's best to avoid unnecessary conflict.

Yeah, just shrug it off. No big deal. haha, I don't often check my pending requests so I don't notice. And when I did check, I didn't even remember that I asked them to be my friend. Oh well.

Don't laugh at me, but back during my MySpace phase all my requests got rejected. Bands do not count because they accept anyone. So from that day I never sent requests to anyone again. Because I knew how how disheartening it could be I never pushed the deny button, but rather allowed the sender to give up and cancel the invitation on their own.
That's probably the best thing to do. Give it a week just in case.

One of the reasons is as you mentioned being scammed. I have had many scammers try to be my friend here, then ask me for money or to join their other sites. I am not interested in all of that. So once I see someone is active and not a scammer then I accept their request. A lot of people that ask to be my friend here are here one day and gone the next so I wait a little while before just accepting it...

Sometimes it takes me a while to see that I have friend requests but if you friend request me have no fear I will except you as soon as I notice I have more to accept.

Hi scubapro, I really don't even give this a second thought.
When I first joined mylot I think I made less than 10 friend
request and all others are people who have requested me..I
said a couple of time I was not going to accept a request
that was 19yr old and one was 22 but I did accept them anyway..
because I do believe that everyone has something to say to help
someone at sometimes...So I accept all request and within no
more than 2 days unliess I am off my compuer for longer..

Hi! How can i accept your request when you did not yet send me any request. If someone sends a request for friendship , i then read his profile , if found decent then i will accept friendship but if vulgar with his posted discussion i will deny it. Don't worry too much for those not accepting because they have own reason why they don't. So many members we have here , request for other members , so many good members around .

I also have a lot of pending friend request and I don't have time to think why they are still pending. It is fine with me that they did not accept it. I just leave it like that. But if there is a request on my message, I do accept them right away. This is not FB, in which we can only accept friends who we really know. Here, we only take chances...

Many times it could be a lot of reasons. Maybe they are just sitting here waiting to see how active you are, especially if an older member, or they could be one who is seeing if there are going to be things they can relate with. There are times I will wait before accepting someone, and other times do it right away, especially if they are active here, and there are things I can relate with.

I am guilty for not having time to check on my friend requests sometimes coz of being busy participating with the discussions. And I have found that there are people whom I wanted to be friends with but even after 7 months, never accepted my request. So with that, I just shrug it off.
Your number of friends will grow eventually. Just stick around more often and let people know more about you through your posts and responses.

Hi scubapro...I know what your feeling, I think it is painful when our friendship does not be responded, but don't you have negative thinking, maybe he or she still going now and does not know that you ask him for friendship. So far, I never pending or deny all mylot member who want to ask friendship with me, I never think negative about them. I love friendship...
