My father in law only allowed to eat hospital foods but most of the time he does not like it. I understand the reason why but i always made sure to finished all his meal whether he likes it or not because it's for his own good, it might be tasteless but it's very healthy. Also I told him to bear the taste for the meantime and when we gets home i will cook delicious and healthy foods for him. Have a great day!

No one ever likes hospital foods, even here in mx they are bad. But the hospitals know better what diet ones needs. So make him eat the hospital foods.

I can't trust hospital food after the one here gave me a salad that was literally rotting for lunch after I had my daughter...

I remember when I am admitted to the hospital, we didn't eat the food they give. We just bought from chowking or jolibee, where we are allowed to eat the food outside. But I guess your father in law situation is not good so that they are just doing what will be good to your father in law.

His condition is quite sensitive and need to follow his diet strictly, most of the time he's upset when we see his food but there's nothing to do he needs to take it whether he likes it or not.

I don't blame him. Hospital food is pretty gross. But if that's all he's allowed to have, that's what he's stuck with for now. I hope he gets better soon so he can go home and enjoy a homecooked meal.

Hospital foods are bland and seemed tasteless. That's why, patients would not want to eat them or when they do, they would just be eating less.
Your father-in-law is lucky to have you as his daughter-in-law. Not only that you are a nurse but you are a good cook.

Hospital food is the worst and I feel sorry for him! I have never met anyone who actually likes that food! My husband pretty much eats anything and even he hates hospital food. Lol.

I can understand you father in law if the food at the hospital in your country is as badas it is in mine. A year and a half ago, after my chemo, I got a virus and was a week at the hospital. At the end I told my oncologist that cancer wouldn`t kill me, but hospital food would. I know for sure that you can make food as healthy as the one in the hospital yet more tasty. They serve hot water instead of soup, and sole instead of meat. I coul not eat anything and went down 5 kilos in a week. Still here too they would not let anyone bring food because there is a responsibility over what the patient eats. So we smuggled wafers and other healthy things that were more appealing.
