Rags to riches story, anyone?

I recently abandoned my job and I've been looking for opportunities ever since I left. Not necessarily a new job but a better source of income. Three months have passed and I haven't found my own niche. Now I need an inspiration to keep looking. Any interesting stories of rags to riches you can share? Did you try to step back and look at your life and eventually turned it around? Thanks.

I heard so many stories about people who start humbly and eventually end up doing what they do best, and needless to say, million of dollars created, and they are ranked in Forbe Fortune 100. I am not saying you should be chasing wildness dream without facing the reality, but if you really know what you can do best, try it from scratch, and see how you can make it come true.

thanks for the comment. that is what i'm trying to, starting from scratch. the sad thing is, i'm not sure where to start :(

well, it is good to imagine your dream job and income every night before falling to sleep and in the morning when you get up and try your best, do not give up, faith is really important to acheieve what you want...
well, I know a rich factory owner who was a beggar in childhood and was collecting things from garbage bin and with using his ideas and smart mind , he became so successful and rich in his life...

I am not really sure why did you abandon your job when you haven't seen any new opportunities, but oh well. What happened in the past stay in the past.
So..
How about selling something? Most rags to riches stories circulate around this business. It can be everything, but I guess selling food is a good start.
