I knew it is wise to use cash instead of plastic credit card to shop. At least you know your limit. But the bad side of without a single credit card, you basically without any credit history. Whenever you need a loan, for instance, to buy a house, or a car, you might not be able to get it approved. one of my friend, and my father too, they never have a credit card before, and somehow, when my father want to apply for the Satellite TV installation, he has no credit history for the company to check, and they won't approve his application. So, from time to time, he needs my name to apply for the satellite TV installation. Because he also switch from one Satellite company to another base on their promotion.
So, my advice, maybe people who doesn't like credit card may apply one credit card, and try to make a purchase once in a while, in a gas station, or a grocery store. At the month end, you can pay it off. So you can keep a good credit history. What do you think?

i think that i will agree with you,its better to use cash instead of credit card because once we see that we pay it with cash we will have a hesitation for sure and we more value it to buy a things which is really important to us.

I agree with you. Credit history is also important
Credit card statements replace Income Tax Returns in applications and I think that is more convenient. Plus there is less exposure of your finances. I mean, in credit card statements, people can only see your purchases. In Income Tax Returns, people get to see your total income.
I suggest that, even if having no debts and paying in cash is better, we can make some exceptions.

Yeah you are right as people should carry already one credit card with themselves as who knows that you are going to need money. So better thing is to be prepared.

I have about zero credit history as well. It kind of feels like being punished for being responsible with my money. I know many people who have gotten a credit card gor emergencies only or just to use every now and then like for stuff online. Well it didn't take them long to spend wat too much, some even maxing out their cards. I have thought about getting a credit card to get some credit history but I know that I would max it. I also heard that if you don't use your credit card often enough then the credit card company cancels it. So I couldn't just get a card use it a few times the cut it up or file it away.

You need a credit card, even if you have to get one with a deposit first. There is no other way to build a history. Also, your history grows as you have various bills paid in your name--power, phone, rent etc. and you can give those references on applications as well.

It is essential to have a credit card to secure accommodation on my travels. I like to get a zero percent spending card for 17 months then buy a long haul flight with it. If there is interest I pay off the whole balance. If it is interest free I pay it off one or two hundred pounds per month. Yes, it is a good idea to build up an excellent credit history. I was able to get a mortgage by showing proof of my earnings and my excellent credit history. Yes, every person over 18 years old should have a credit card.

I guess for some countries do rely on credit cards now... we also don't have a credit card and somehow our place here does not rely much on credit cards plus as much as possible me and hubby do stay away from loans and pay almost everything in cash or in check. Its a whole lot simpler for us.

Yes, I totally agree with you. Get only one credit card use it once in a while and pay the bill right away. I have a credit card that I use only to buy things online. Once I receive the package or the recipent has received the package then I pay the bill. No finance charges just good credit line. Without a credit card there is no history for them to check you out with. I really wish they had never invented credit cards. People wouldn't be in so much financial debt.
