I am happy that I had completed my three years in service already. Not only that I gained additional leave credits but also due to the fact that I will be receiving step increment on the coming days.
Step increment is an increase granted to employees for completing several years in service. It might be a very minimal amount added to our salary, but is already a big help.
This is the longest time I ever been employed in an office, I usually transfer to another work before I reached 3 years. And since I am working in the government, I am entitled to receive the step increment. I hope I will stay on this office until retirement day.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi aries!
Congratulations on becoming eligible for receiving additional increment or say step increment. It is nice to know that you work in a Government Department and after three years of regular service you get an additional increment. I also work in a Government Department and we get yearly increments, after completion of one year of service. Hope you will earn many such increments in the future. All the best.

Hi dpk!
Yeah, it's one of my achievements and I am happy about it. Sometimes, being a mother and a full time employee is really hard but I need to do it for my family. I hope I could continue to work for more years.

This is always cool when you know you have a bonus or raise like this coming, and something that often makes your job more worth while. Glad to hear that you are getting this and enjoying this job. That is always a big help when you do.

Hi KH!
Yes, it's one of the good thing could ever happen in our career. To be able to stay on it for a longer period of time. The bonus or step increment is only secondary.

It is good that they have these step increments, it's kind of like of an incentive to stay with the company and I guess it's a way of thanking you for your loyalty. I think you have well and truly deserved it, as I can imagine you are a hard worker and very much appreciated by those that employ and work with you my friend. Congrats!

I wish you all the best my friend
The shortest job I've ever had is working in a call center (can't stand the stress)so it's hard to stay on the same account for a long time (keep changing accounts from time to time- from US account, Canadian, Brit)
Working as a government employee is much better I guess.

Security of tenure is one of the great benefits of a government employee. But as to the salary, some private firms offer much higher salary.
Well, just hoping that I would be staying with my present job for a much longer time.

Hi there ARIES1973,
With regard to your post, well, let me congratulate you with that achievement. Hence, I do believed that going up to the three years time in a company is like bearing a child in the womb wherein, this is also called the critical stage. But with what you have shared, you have surpassed it. And you really deserved to be rewarded.

Good to know that you are expecting your step increment. Even though the amount is low, it is the appreciation for your service and hard work. Wish you to get it in the near soon. Congrats for working in the same concern for 3 years. Wish you to achieve more milestones in your work

Hi vid!
Yeah, I'm happy that although I think I consider myself as a misfit for my job, I can still survive. The only thing that I'm sure I can share for them is my computer and internet skill. This one I'm sure I'm ahead of them. They said everything can be learned, yes but it also requires willingness and on my part, my system is rejecting this kind of field. I don't know why.
Well, anyway I'll just go with the flow and I am happy to have my online work as a way of releasing some stress.
Thank you for sharing!

Hi emily!
I was just lucky to have this job. It was hard for me also because it is a different field of interest. But I am just trying to maintain and do what is being asked of me.
