I love rock and metal music too. Well my favourite kind of music now is alternative rock, but before I used to listen to metal too. Now I don't know why, maybe I lost the habbit and it looks more "heavy" to me, I love the more melodic songs where they don't scream too much :D By the way, it's cool that it inspires you to write!

I actually listen to different genres. However, if I really feel sleepy, I choose metal songs like AC DC and Black Sabbath. Their songs are my coffee... hehehe

Many people thing that metal and rock music seems to be evil and unpleasant to the senses. For my part, its still music and I can really appreciate those kind of audios.

You are right... maybe some people just don't want to hear negative things that existing in reality. Well, music is the way of interpreting life regardless what type of genres or notes that have been used.

you are right on that. I think writers know more about music than anyone on the planet. I've writer friends and they are always showing me the diversity of music. They say it helps them to concentrate. I believe it. Music is the source of all magic. It's sacred that way :)

Yeah, I totally agree that metal music rules! Although it might not be completely suitable for chiling and relaxing, it's great enjoyment in a gym while working out. It gives you more passion and strength. Basically this music is suitable to play in the background of your activity.

If you really want to wake-up, metal music is a good choice. But if you want to chill with your coffee, reggae or bossanova is the best...

I am also grateful that metal music exists. I am more of goth and symphonic power metal but I also greatly enjoy listening to other type of metal genres and music in general.
I feel metal music helps us face this world from a sensitive and powerful/strong point of view at the same time. It's wonderful. I am glad metal has helped you get on writing track.
