She said that she ate something yesterday and today her lips are getting big. So I said she should consult a doctor . She ate something salty awhile ago and it seems it aggravated the condition. So I think she should be careful in the food she buy her food from. She said she ate some dimsun yesterday. Although we are not sure if that is the real culprit.

I guess she must have some allergy to the food she was eating yesterday.
I remember my daughter is allergic to crabs and prawns. Each time she ate those seafood, her lips will swell bigger, haha!
As she grows older, she is now better and able to eat some crabs and prawns but it has to be washed clean before cooking.

She just told me she ordered on this big fast food chain in the country
. She never experienced allergies before as we usually eat a lot on that fast food before. This is just the first time it happened. Maybe they have more preservatives or other not so healthy added now on their cooking to enhance the taste more so as to keep the loyal customers

Oh most probably that is indeed an allergic reaction. From what I know there is a first aid remedy for that like trying to melt a spoonful of sugar in her mouth. This is not a cure but it somehow lessens that spreading of the allergic reaction to other parts of the body. If symptoms persist like having rashes around her body accompanied by itching all over the body and at times having hard time breathing it is imperative that she consults a doctor or better go to emergency in a hospital so they could give medicine and prevent it from getting worse.
Although in most cases allergies are harmless and does not need to be taken to the doctor but if it persist it can also be fatal as well. So observe if things will get worse.

Yep, swollen lips is an indication of allergy. That, or if an insect bit her on the lip or it's a pimple. But still, if she is unsure of whatever causes that reaction, the best thing to do is to indeed consult a doctor just to make sure that it isn't something worse.

It doesn't look as good as her lips though. It's just obvious that the lips have some problems

does that something salty that she ate a while ago have sothing in common with the food that she ate yesterday? if so, then that is the culprit.
allergies tend to be itchy so she may have bit or scratched her lips yesterday so when she ate something salty, it became worse.
why don't you bring her to a doctor? i have plenty of allergies and i know that some are life threatening.

It could be some allergy problems. The process of preparing the food is also important. Usually outside food is not being washed clean.
