Do as the Italians do, sweets and coffee. I woke up and still the world is just so cold. I didn't have anything in the cupboard and was too lazy to cook something so I just ate an apple strudel. To get rid of the sweet sweet taste, I just drank my coffee black.

Hi,
I don't like sweet breakfast. I like hot and salty breakfast. Sweet breafast makes me sleepy. I like to take tea with breakfast.

I don't like sweet breakfast too. It just doesn't fit my morning breath.lol. But coffee is the must drink in the morning for me. I did grow up drinking tea at my grandparents house but since I got acquainted to coffee due to late night term paper work in high school then I got hooked up with it and tea for me is when I got too much of coffee already. When I was working in Taipei, I was introduced to different kinds of tea. It was amazing how a tea connoisseur could explain different kinds of tea. There are so many varieties of tea, from plant roots, to bark to leaves, to flowers etc. The way it was served too was just as graceful and soft when it passes thru your throat. I also met someone who was into coffee in the same city and how passionate she was in explaining to me the different kinds of coffee. We even went to a beautiful restaurant on a mountain top to drink a type of coffee that tasted like tea.
When you get hooked up into someone so passionate with something, no matter what that is, a real adventure in life takes place. This is another topic to talk about next time!:)

Candy? You are funny jeicky1. I'll just have coffee if there are only candies left on the table.
I usually have bananas at least if I've got nothing but today was really more than nothing!

I am not too familiar with the Italian breakfast way, but my own breakfast is always graced with the presence of coffee. I have tried having sweets for breakfast, in the form of strawberry waffles, or just plain waffles with maple syrup. And as usual, there's coffee for me.

I am Asian so this just does not work for me. My tongue is used to salty breakfast. It is something fried or a rice porridge topped with vegetables, meat or eggs. Bread is also possible as long as it is warm. Food for me has to be served hot all the time. That is my main dilemna here in Europe coz sandwiches, cold cuts and cheese are everywhere which i don't really eat much. My lactose intolerance adds to the problem.:)
