I have given up the craze of having eyelash extensions two months ago. You see, it's like this. I suffered some discomfort when I had those false lashes because of the "glue" or whatever it was they were using to glue the hair onto my natural lashes to make them look thicker, longer, and curlier. Crazy, right? What I had to go through just to have them. I had to lie down with eyes closed for an hour. I shouldn't open my eyes or else. When it is finally there, I have to be careful when I bathe or wash my face. I did all these but in spite of the precautions I followed, I still got some burning sensations in my eyes. I had to stop what I was doing because of these occurrences. So I have decided to give up the effort of trying to have long and curly lashes. I will have to be content with what I have. However, I can now use liquid eyeliner. With the extensions, we were forbidden to use liquid eyeliners. I kind of like the liquid eyeliner because it opens up the eyes and it is so easy to do and less expensive.

Be careful of your eye and it is better and safer to have natural beauty.

Sorry to hear about that my friend.
My sister had her extended lashes done at the parlor- but now she also stopped having those fake lashes due to uncomfortable feeling.
Yes, better to be contented with what we have.
I use mascara to enhance my lashes and I am good with it :)

I am not gifted with long and curly eyelashes. I have to use an eyelash curler and mascara for it to be even become noticeable. I never used an eyelash extension, not that I didn't try. I find it a bit cumbersome and more trouble than what's it worth. I have anime-like eyes (being Asian and all), and I don't think it would make me look any different. Also, I wear prescription contact lenses and it makes putting it on so difficult.

Yes, it is better to be contented with what you have than to suffer the uncomfortable consequences. And more so to take care of your eye as it is utmost important to have healhty eyes.

hi cutie mylot gremilins just ate my first two lines of a response grrr.so copy.
I have sparse not curly eyelashes but am too afraid of eye damage to use extensions myself. I do have a cataract in my left eye whic h id due to be removed. So I just use mascara an let it go at that.

one reason why i don't use such.. if there is one precious part of my body that would be the eyes and i don't dare use products that i know can harm my eyes in future. Especially if i know it involves those glue and the likes.

Hi there! I tried eyelash extensions before and my experience was not really bad. I guess it depends on how tolerable our eyes are or maybe it depends on the person who put it on us. So anyway, I did not feel the burning sensation in my eyelids during or after the procedure. What ticked me off was that I just had to be careful washing my face. I found it hard to wash my face because I cannot rub the eye area so I don't really feel 100% cleansed.
But I like having eyelash extension because it saves me time from fixing my eyes plus it really gives me more dolled up look (i think, haha). But it's expensive if I have to re-do it every after two months. The fake lashes just remains for 1 or so months.
I now find putting on fake lashes myself easier. They are re-usable thus, more cheaper for me plus I could control the volume of my lashes.

Hi cutie!
I never use false eyelashes. Isn't that too heavy? I also don't use liquid eyeliner.
Well, it's good that you decided to stop using it. It might have a negative effect on your eyes.
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Cutie ! I guess you are already beautiful even without eyelashes extension. You know any chemicals when being opened could really have some bad effect to our body , more so that you are applying it eye part. The effect would not be now maybe in the future. Our eyes are sensitive to strong fumes even a smoke it tears how much more with some chemicals. That is good , be contented .You're eyes are already pretty ! Let us be grateful and contented with what God have given . We are already unique , so why take some risk ! Cheers friend !

Well you must ask yourself. Did it make you feel pretty ? And is it worth it to be pretty like that ?

I've never worn false eyelashes or extensions. I've kinda wanted to try and see what they were like but messing with a glue by my eyes makes me nervous. As I had a bad stint when I was younger with a contact lens and I still won't wear them 15yrs later as I'm scared to have a repeat of what happened before. And one certainly can't go out and get a new eyeball.
I don't blame you for giving them up the irritation could be from the glue, the material they were made from, allergy, or even a subtle infection. Sounds like too much work & precaution.
