thoughts on police officers.

I have a great respect for the Police, although there are always going to be exceptions. Members of the Police Force are human beings, therefore there are certain to be good and bad as there are among the rest of us. I would never intentionally try to avoid a Police officer, mainly because I have no reason to do so. If I was unfortunate enough to encounter a Police officer who was a discredit to the uniform then naturally I would dislike that person, but I would not make the mistake of viewing others in the same way.

My son is 5 years and 10 months old. He loves police and has his own police man's costume. He loves spotting a police car, a police man or a police motorbike. A few weeks ago we saw a policeman mounted on a horse. I don't want to become known to the police since I am a good person. My little boy said hello to police in South America on our trip last year. He also likes ambulances and fire engines. Right now my son is playing with his toy police car. I don't want to go to anymore vegan rallies due to police presence.

Personally, cops are just ordinary people like with any profession. There are good ones as well as bad. Most of them are ordinary people just like any other, and are helpful when you need them. I hsve ran into some that need to learn hoe to be people first instead of allowing the badge to go to their head, but for the most part, I am glad they are their, but this has never been something I would have liked to have been.

I've had good experiences with the officer's of the law. They warned before and helped me get home in freezing weather. I understand that in some areas there are good police and bad ones to. Its called they human and no one is perfect no matter what their job is. Not everyone is good.

Police officers are working to protect us. There is no need to get fear on them. We must consider them as our protectors. Always i give respect to them and follow the rules and regulations, if we follow the rules correctly there is no need to fear on them.

I was a wild teenager so I didn't much care for cops. Now that I have grown up and am a mother I am grateful for the service they provide. I try to teach my kids that cops are here to help us, catch bad guys, and they are not to be feared. Still when I see a cop my heart begins to race a little.

I had a bad experience about 8 years ago. I wouldn't want to get into the details. But to have a clearer understanding of what happened, they took a lot of money from us coz they were trying to scare us of being in such trouble. Not really guilty, but you know how the system could be twisted sometimes....

pomwango I happen to know a lot of cops. They are just as unhappy with the 'rotten apples' as anyone, maybe even more so. The bad cops give them all a bad reputauion and make their jobs a lot harder. I maintain the majority are good guys. Some burn out from having to deal with criminals, thugs, gang members, perverts etc. There's is a tough job..they put their lives on the line everyday and the money is never worth a life...

I have no feelings toward police officers. I know they are just people and some are good and some are not. Some respect others while some don't. They are different just like every person is different. I had one bad experience with a police officer who did not want to do his job. Someone did something really bad to me, I told the officer where he lived and where he worked. The officer told me if he could find the time he would get the guy...That police officer was a waste! But not all are...

Yes, people who received help from police will think that they are saviours, but for the bad people such as the thief they always consider that police as people that make they scare all the time. yes, this is the reality of the world, one side people love and one side people scare.
