Friends let me introduce you to my most favorite artist, painter or all ... Fernando Amorsolo. He was born on May 30, 1892 and died of heart failure at the age of 79 on April 24, 1972.
His first wife was Salud Jorge who died in 1931 and his second wife was Maria del Carmen ZaragoZa whom he had eight children with.
He was also a cartoonist and was the very first to publish a comic strip in the Philippines namely " Kiko at Angge in 1922 in Telembang and " Ganito Pala sa Maynila " in Lipang Kalabaw.
Fernando Amorsolo was honored as the First National Artist in Painting four days after his death at the Cultural Center of the Philippines by the late Pres. Ferdnand E. Marcos.

He is remembered as a Hero. The big question is - what shall we be remembered as?

hmmmmmm... that is a very nice question HONEYPALS but it makes me sad just thinking about how i will be remembered.though i am not an "AMORSOLO" i hope i will be remembered as a good daughter, a caring sister and true friend even though 'm not perfect

sadly, spending money or time on art these days has taken the least place among the "last priorities in life list" among our friends and families.
thanks for your comment scubapro. i'll try to post a photo of one of Amorsolo painting so you can appreciate his greatness too. ill upload a photo as soon as i get my other laptop cause its there.
